Unfortunately, customer support is lacking. Lack of insights into customer data & intuitive insights

We are currently using this as our CRM platform. I would prefer to have intuitive segments generated, assistance with capturing more customer data.

We have been using Emarsys for several years and have conducted several email marketing campaigns (with different API integrations and set triggers), which allowed us a very user-friendly user experience.

**What do you dislike about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?**

All integrations (and changes to existing ones) must be set up by the support team, otherwise the tool quickly becomes unusable. Designing templates and making changes is also quite "sensitive" and can lead to lack of responsiveness and other errors. Customer service is not always very quick in providing solutions (this might be different if you are a large company using many products, but that was not our experience).

**What problems is SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Marketing automation was an issue because several campaigns were running parallel to a loyalty program. Emarsys helped us in creating roadmaps for setting up trigger actions and automating our email marketing.

I found at Emarsys I was given the opportunity to personalize campaigns whether by email, SMS or push messages. It is an excellent tool to build customer journeys and track customer behaviors and the industry strategies are designed to be used right out of the box.

**What do you dislike about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?**

They mention that it is inconvenient to build intricate processes inside of Emarsys. Since the earlier tab is less intuitive and has a logic flow, this has the effect of causing the campaign creation process for new users to be relatively slow.

I have been supported by Emarsys in my marketing automation. That all the channels are present in one platform is much better because it creates a harmonious experience for the client. With help of advanced customer data, it became possible to increase engagement and conversion rates using targeted messages.

Forecasting campaigns can be more accurate which I think they will fix in the long run.

Constantly developing over time to make best use of the technology (e.g. AI), whilst also allowing custom fields and set up - to match our complex business needs

**What do you dislike about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?**

Reporting aspects have always been quite basic, when reviewing channel actions - e.g. for email they have all the basics that you would expect, but looking deeper into the months combined results isn't easy (and sometimes not possible). For more complex queries, we feed the coms history into a combined SCV and use Faststats to interegate. 
However, upgrades to Customer Lifecycle elements have proven very useful, and I know that they are working on better reporting solutions for the future.

**What problems is SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emarsys enables us to communicate with our customers across 4 core channels, email, SMS, web channel and paid social - and track all engagement stats through these communications (plus elements such as browse behaviour) back into our SCV database for review and further action.
We utilise the customer journey analytics and Max AI recommendations to ensure we are closely following our customer lifecycle metrics and taking steps to change / drive behaviours to benefit the business (whether through improving retention through a variety of automation and ad-hoc tactics, or driving additional spend where we can).

Emarsys has become a key driver in taking our CRM strategy to the next level. It is definitely an intuitive and user-friendly platform. Setting up email campaigns and crafting intricate automation flows feels far easier than other platforms used previously, allowing us to focus more on strategy and creativity rather than getting bogged down in technicalities.

What's truly impressive is the level of detail we can achieve with segmentation. It has enabled us to create hyper-targeted campaigns that resonate on a personal level. Having our account manager set up on our internal comms channel has been a great help, and Emarsys support and guidance tend to be efficient and helpful

The platform's commitment to staying ahead of the curve is evident in its consistent innovation. Features like Mobile Wallet and AI have expanded our capabilities, and the options for personalization and campaign visualization are also worth noting.

While the data and reporting tools are good enough for the most part, there are moments when exporting revenue/campaign data could be much better. There are lots of outages with Emarsys. For example, I signed up for outage emails. Since 27/06/2022 I have gotten 230+ emails about outages. Most times the reason varies but sometimes the assumption is that these can impact bottom line revenue as and when they happen as in some cases customers who clicked are directed to broken links due to the outages

Emarsys main use for ESW is Email Marketing, we use Emarsys every day to drive our BAU Emails across 5 countries and 2 brands. We have added over 50 automations with potentially up to 100 email automations inside.

1. Cross-Channel Marketing:
Emarsys allows us to provide a more seamless experience across multiple customer touchpoints, including digital ads, email, mobile and web. Previously these channels were siloed but now we can create a complete journey with automated journeys or one-off campaigns, personalised to the customer.

2. Increasing revenue from different customer lifecycle groups: 
With our previous customer engagement platforms, the customer lifecycle wasn't something we focused on. The lifecycle reports in Emarsys have helped us to understand our customers better and understand where our best revenue potential is. The pre-built tactics available have strategies for increasing acquisition, purchase frequency, average order value, and retaining customers. We can easily identify quick wins and deploy automation programs to capture lost revenue or stop active customers from churning.

We have worked with Emarsys for the last 4 years and have always been very happy with the platform. It provides capabilities for people internally to build and send Digital CRM campaigns in a very user friendly way.

They are always developing the platform and releasing new tools and developments which allow us to keep our Digital CRM strategy fresh.

Account  management support is also excellent - for both advice and as a sounding board for new ideas.

The only downside occasionally is the referral to the support team for certain issues which could do with a more personal touch. This can be slightly frustrating at times, but overall the level of support is good and I don't believe there would be better alternatives.

We love that we can segment clients in many ways, especially by region (home/work locations) or their behavior on our e-commerce page. Also, the ESL (Emarsys Scripting Language) tool allows us to personalize our mailings in many ways and also in two different languages. Also, its great that this tool grows with the demand of functionality, we will most probably be using the Loyalty features in near future as well.

Unfortunately, some functions are unavailable due to our subscription, which could be better handled in the account (hide these functions?). Emarsys provides an exceptional experience as a user-friendly and innovative platform. The block-based templates are not only simple and easy to use, but also incredibly efficient, offering a smooth and fast user experience. The platform also has seamless integrations with other platforms such as our new SMS provider. It also introduces unique features such as barcode generation that we hadn't had the chance to use in the past but we're excited to explore. 

Emarsys' automation/journey builder simplifies the campaign planning process by making it user-friendly and intuitive. Above all, the ability to create segments directly from our hosted database is a huge win, providing us with a direct link to that data when we need to target our audiences accurately.

The dedicated implementation team allowed for a smooth transition from our old platform and they were a pleasure to work with.

Despite the many strengths of Emarsys, there is room for improvement in the area of content organisation. Currently, the platform lacks a proper folder structure to categorise and manage emails and segments. This makes it somewhat challenging to differentiate and manage past, current, and future content. 

Having a folder system would vastly improve the user experience, making navigation and content management much more straightforward and intuitive. I hope to see this addition in future updates.

After Emarsys migrated to SAP, the structure became very unwieldy. While we were able to solve issues such as training and development very easily before, we are progressing incredibly slowly at the moment. (We purchased your web channel, web push and app push services 1 year ago, but we closed the web channel and web push, and we have not been able to integrate the app push for 1 year.)

Web Channel: We couldn't use our own fonts, there were many restrictions on fonts, we saw this after purchasing the product. You have a serious competitor like Insider in Turkey. While Insider can understand which mobile phone the customer is connecting with, we need to use a tag manager even for this.)

Web Push: We started the project because you stated that you can move tokens in your old documents. We almost lost tens of thousands of tokens during the transition. We learned from the developer team that it could not be done and you updated your document after our problem.

App Push: We are using React Native and there have been so many react native updates on Github that our developers are tired of this. We are considering removing the product from our package next year

- HTML email creation: Fast and easy to set up schedules
- Service received form the company

- Difficulty to have a view of all campaigns scheduled 
- Creation of segments still a bit limited (segments vs. combine segments)
- VCE block builder cannot be combined with HTML emails

Automation program transfer from one account to another was very beneficial

Emarsys is very easy and intuitive to use, not many training sessions are required to be brought up to speed with the platform. Navigating across the platform is also very simple.

**What do you dislike about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?**

Emarsys can sometimes experience functionality errors, where you cannot access some modules like segmentation or campaigns. This can have an irritating impact on CRM activities.

Emarsys bridges together the sophistication of a world-class platform with ease of use of a smaller provider. Easy to navigate and top-tier service!

Emarsys is working through some growing pains at the moment with SAP. Anytime there is an outage, the team at Emarsys is more than helpful and quick to fix.

**What problems is SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving retention and lifecycle strategies within the platform. We have seen great engagement metrics, and our email infrastructure has never been healthier. They consistently keep adding on the latest advancements in lifecycle marketing and look to their users for feedback. 

From the tool to the team itself, I can't recommend the tool enough!

Emarsys empowers marketers to execute simple, single-channel campaigns, or create sophisticated, omnichannel journeys at scale

**What do you dislike about SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys)?**

The documentation needs a thorough review, sometimes it is outdated and not consistent with what is really needed to configure the tool. Improve the communication of the new functionalities, and finally, finish adjusting the license packages and what can be configured in the automation center.

**What problems is SAP Engagement Cloud (formerly SAP Emarsys) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Executing omnichannel marketing easily, from within a single omnichannel marketing platform, without extensive services engagement and IT resources, is rare. The Emarsys platform makes it easy to integrate data, set up messaging across channels, and deploy personalized campaigns at scale.
