"A powerful POS system worth investing in."

What do you like best about ECRS POS?

The array of features ECRS offers through their Catapult POS and its accessories. We have had good experiences with their support from initial installation through over a decade of use in our natural food cooperative grocery. We're now using their Gateway ordering system with iPods connected to scanners to place orders with vendors big and small. And I'm hoping to implement the WebCart e-commerce system soon. What do you dislike about ECRS POS?

As with any software, upgrades and updates bring changes expected and unexpected. It's the undocumented changes that often give me headaches. I prefer documentation reflecting changes that will affect our business (how discounts are applied, membership data entry, report formatting). Sometimes ECRS does this well; other times, big promises take a long time to fulfill. Please note that I say this with an understanding of the variety and quantity of customers ECRS has. What problems is ECRS POS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Thousands of transactions daily. Month and week-long sales that we can set start and end dates on easily. Reporting on sales, discontinued items, profit/loss, etc. Membership joins, transfers, and patronage reports and refunds. Ordering with vendors of all sizes. Automatic printing of espresso & juice orders. Inventory maintenance, signage: the lists go on and on. Software features and hardware tools are added that boost the value of the Catapult environment.
