Recommendations to others considering Dynatrace:
Dynatrace on SAP ME/MII is a boon for every ME implementation. Performance baseline is must to define before a process is mapped on ME. What problems is Dynatrace solving and how is that benefiting you?
We started using Dynatrace to identify what is causing user performance of SAP ME. We found the performance everywhere; application server, database queries, source code, network, Citrix and even the browsers users were using. With the visibility of Dynatrace we improved the source code, we improved database queries, network issues, standardized Citrix clients with standardized web browsers. In 8 months we removed all the performance faced in last 5 years. This improvement reduces system downtime from once in two weeks to zero for last 1 and 1/2 years. After getting the system stabilized, we started finding user mistakes. We identified processes and users to retrain them. This reduced user mistakes as well. Now we are running a project to identify how much time the processes are taking after collecting the information from Dynatrace.
