**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

Dropbox is very smooth to apply and quick to set up. The clean interface makes importing and sharing documents simple and intuitive. I commenced the use of it inside minutes, and it quick have become a part of my each day workflow. It offers all of the critical capabilities without being overwhelming and integrates smoothly with gear like Google Docs and Microsoft Office. The assist crew become additionally set off and useful, making the general enjoy even better.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

The best disadvantage is the restricted loose storage space. For someone handling a variety of media documents, 2 GB fills up rapid. Apart from that, the entirety else  setup, syncing, and integration works exactly as predicted.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dropbox allows me shop and share all my work documents securely in one location. I now not need to send big attachments or carry round USB drives. The ease of sharing large files is unmatched. We send huge video exports and design files to clients daily, and Dropbox handles them without complaint. Clients love that they can view or download files without creating accounts. The upload speed and link-sharing process are smooth, and it integrates well with our Slack and Google Workspace setup.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

Sometimes shared links require the user to log in even when the file should be publicly accessible, which can confuse clients. And, like many others have mentioned, I wish the starter storage weren’t so limited.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dropbox gives me a single, secure place for all my working files. It reduces the risk of losing important documents and eliminates the need for USB drives or manual backups. It also makes collaboration straightforward because everything updates instantly for my team.

I like most of the features, especially how intuitive and user-friendly it is. The free tier is an added advantage. The user interface is another aspect I appreciate, and the initial setup was very easy.

Backed up and Easy Access to all my files. If my computer crashes I have all my info. It is so easy to use. I use it everyday constantly. It is HiPAA compliant and you can share files. I have been using Dropbox for years. I never lose files and they go everywhere with me.

There is really no downside to Dropbox that I can think of tha I do not like about dropbox.

Dropbox is my preferred choice for file storage. Of all the storage software I have tried, it stands out as the best. I find it safe and secure.  I recommend Dropbox to those that want in the cloud and well as on device backup of files

In my opinion, the familly buy package is too espansive for me.

Limited storage offered for free users ( not so useful for content creators they need to upgrade paid plan), sometime speed issue in file sharing/downloading specially in case of video files.

It solves and benefits me in following way
1- I do not need to take care of device ( like laptop, smartphone, tablet etc) while i need access of my required files, i can access required files from anywhere with any device.
2- It collaborates attaching large documents and files while sending e-mail or in need to attach while working with softwares.
3-It protects my data and makes somewhat tesnsion free of loosing accidental data.

I use Dropbox mainly as a backup for my main work files, but then also use Replay for collaboration on getting feedback from multiple people and quickly sharing progress.

The only thing I would say is it would be nice if the UI was more friendly for shared links, so I could share footage directly from Dropbox files instead of through replay or other services.

It helps me know that even if my SSD should fail, everything is securely backed up and safe, along with being able to access those files on the go even when I don’t have my computer with me.

I like how easy it is to use and how affordable it is. It’s also accessible from anywhere, and uploads and downloads are very quick. I can connect it with multiple WordPress plugins as well, which helps me automate backups.

The customer support isn’t very good. The chatbot barely understands what I’m asking, so getting help can be frustrating. This really needs improvement.

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

Dropbox​‍​‌‍​‍‌ has been a major game-changer in my file management. Its interface is so easy that I am able to upload, organize, and share files practically without any effort. The fact that it can be used on different devices without any limitation has really helped me to be efficient when I am not in the office. In addition, the collaborative features which are very convenient and easy to use, have helped us as a team to communicate better and share our work. In short, Dropbox has made my work process smoother and I have been more productive than before. I would advise it without any ​‍​‌‍​‍‌hesitation!

Dropbox​‍​‌‍​‍‌ is a pretty good app with a lot of nice features but it has a few minor things that are not quite perfect. A big disadvantage is the little amount of storage space that the free version has and it can be used up very quickly, particularly if the user is one that is ​‍​‌‍​‍‌heavy.

Dropbox is the solution to the major problems of file management and collaboration that people commonly face. To begin with, it does away with the need for physical storage devices such as USB drives or external hard drives by offering cloud-based storage. The result is that I have access to my files from any place with an internet connection, thus the possibility of losing important documents is minimized while my flexibility is increased.
Secondly, Dropbox makes collaboration easy as it permits the access and editing of files by multiple users at the same time. This, in turn, terminates the practice of sending documents via email for review or dealing with different versions of a document. Syncing in real-time ensures that everyone is working on the latest version, thus facilitation of teamwork and an increase in the output of the team.
Finally, Dropbox makes files safer by giving a single platform for storing and defining all files. This, in turn, is the decluttering of the place and makes it very easy to find the necessary documents, thus saving the time and reducing the ​‍​‌‍​‍‌frustration.

Sometimes it happens that the file is saved in two versions; basically, a conflict between versions is created, and then you struggle to understand which one is correct. It's as if a sort of collision is generated between the file and the saving. It happens rarely, but occasionally it does.

The problem is the file conflict: when the uploaded versions differ slightly, they easily end up in conflict. A possible solution would be to allow assigning a name and a version to the file, in order to better distinguish the various revisions.

I like using it to back up my most important data to the cloud. It’s very easy to use, and it helps keep my data safe and secure.

The main drawback has to be the price. Google has better pricing. We’ve also had issues with real-time syncing when working on the same files with multiple team members.

It is one of the cloud solutions we use to back up crucial company data and make sure it stays safe in multiple places. Knowing my files are secure there, I can switch from device to device, access what I need, and keep working on the go without constantly having to send files via email just to stay productive.

not much. i think the only feature i like is giving someone outside of the account access to upload files to.

almost everything. everyone in my industry uses dropbox at some point. if someone wants to share files with me and my personal dropbox is full *because it fills up FAST due to low storage caps on free accounts* it has annoying pop up windows that block me from seeing or accessing the files that someone else is sharing on their account, and that's just to view them. i have had to open several dropbox accounts and have folks resend the links so i can view them. they are not stored in MY account, but it reads it as if it is. the security features are also annoying, they are confusing, multi-layered (you verify then it wants to reverify with even more steps, even though you successfully confirmed you have access through codes etc). flipping through files to view and go backwards is sometimes also annoying, it takes you out of the folder location and makes you re-sign in to view files you have permission to view. renaming files can be tedious as well, there's at least a 10-20 second buffer time to wait for the renaming to take affect before you can move on to another action. i've created links to media creators to use and upload their files to, and several folks said it didn't work or it wouldn't allow them to upload or they just received an error when trying to access the link. costly subscription for the most annoying cloud service ever.

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

I use both Dropbox and Google Drive.  Most of my personal stuff is Google Drive because I'm always already logged into Google and it gives me extra storage for Gmail.  But I think sharing tools in Dropbox are better.  At least I find them better, you can send photos and videos and they play right in the browser.  Dropbox also seems to be faster with syncing the changes, but I can't confirm that.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

I wish they had a different pricing model, if you go beyond free, you have to pay for 1TB.  If you actually need the whole TB, then the price is reasonable, but if you only need 100GB and are paying for 1TB every month or year, then it doesn't make nearly as much sense for the consumers.  I think Amazon's model for it is better where you pay for what you use, but it's not nearly as consumer friendly.  There are also some little issue that bug me, like if you have a lot of folders and you create a new one, on top it shows a notification that it was created, but it's just next, not a link to it, so now you have to find the new folder in a long list.  The folders also don't show the sizes, only individual files, so it's hard to tell how much space each folder is taken up without having to download them all to a local hard drive.  I also haven't found a way to split one large Dropbox account between several local hard drives, if you don't have one drive that can fit everything.  There is a way to do it with 3rd party tools for Google Drive, but it wasn't easy.

**Recommendations to others considering Dropbox:**

Dropbox is a good solution, but Google Drive and Amazon S3 cloud are also good, slightly different.  I've heard various reports about transfer speeds for each, in my experience Amazon transferred files a lot faster.

Keeping files between multiple computers in sync and having an easy way to share files, pictures and videos.  It also backs up my photos from my phone automatically.

I like how clean and easy to use Dropbox is and how well it flows with everything else I do. I love how it’s integrated with my computer and how easy it is to keep some folders in my computer and others online only to save on computer storage space. It’s so easy to introduce new people to it and it makes my job so much faster. I work with software that gets backed up and restored between 3 sets of computers at least once monthly and moving those backups to the other computers through shared folders is so fast! And if a computer doesn’t have Dropbox, I just sign in through the browser and drag files into or out of Dropbox. I use it heavily for work, to run a nonprofit parent group, and for a larger event I organize and it’s so helpful!

I pay for my account because I need the size and because so many people use the files, I want the roll back on the files in case there are oopses. And I have had to roll back files that were saved over and restore deleted files many times. So I love this feature!

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

Not everyone has Dropbox and sometimes it’s not as easy to share with people who don’t have it. They have to sign on to the website or follow links to get to the file where I’m just opening folders on my computer.

Using Dropbox online isn’t always intuitive. Sometimes it’s harder to find your folder than it should be. Trying to find where to find older and deleted versions of files can be tricky if you have never done it or if it’s been awhile but it’s not bad if you look up how to do it.

Working with different groups and sharing files with different groups. Moving files between different computers and having them on hand on my phone for reference. Always having my files accessible no matter what device I’m using and not needing to move files between different computers because it automatically syncs between them.

I am a long-term, Dropbox Plus user, with a paid yearly subscription. I use Dropbox every day, several times a day, across multiple devices, computers, mobile phones, and tablet. The most helpful functions using Dropbox are the ability to automatically backup my computer, as well as the automatic synchronization of my files on Dropbox and my computer, to ensure I never lose any information. Moreover I appreciate the integrated tools such as the ability to sign documents or the Paper application to quickly collaborate by sharing notes and minutes of meeting. The file sharing is also very useful, as is the automatic upload and backup of photos from my mobile devices to Dropbox storage.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

One downside of using Dropbox is that when sharing documents with my team or other people, they need to have a Dropbox account and enough storage allowance, in order to access all functionalities of Dropbox. But not all people are willing to create a Dropbox account, and even less, take a Premium pay membership, especially if they are only occasional users, or just collaborating with me using Dropbox, but otherwise using other Cloud services.

I have been using Dropbox for about ten years, and it is a vital part of my workflow. I love how it enables seamless collaboration with coworkers and allows me to send clients their own individualized folders for photos and videos. As an ultimate digital organization tool, it is incredibly useful. I discovered Dropbox in college, and it was great then and has only improved over time. Setting it up is straightforward; it's very organized and user-friendly. I appreciate that Dropbox feels like having a flash drive with me all the time, especially off my phone, while allowing easy transfer across multiple devices, which is a life changer and game changer. I use the transfer functionality and the mobile app almost daily. The integration with iPhone and editing software for seamless uploads makes my task efficient. I can't think of any necessary changes, as it's near perfect as it is. I'd rate it a 10 out of 10, or even a 100 if the scale allowed, showing my high level of satisfaction and likelihood of recommending it.

I use Dropbox for secure and timely delivery of important legal documents and legal discovery exchange. Pushing folders of documents to other attorneys in the legal field is made easy thanks to Dropbox. Dropbox integrates with windows explorer fully and I can quickly get a link to share, a function which I use on a weekly basis. I've been able to fully implement use of Dropbox in my practice and I've never had to contact customer support because of how easy it is to use Dropbox.

There really isn't any downside to using Dropbox. I'm sure we all wish internet storage space were cheaper, but if you are attentive to deleting unneeded files then you can be sure to have space for new uploads and batches of documents.

The collaboration of all our contacts files large PDFs marketing everything it's easy to put it up there in an easy format put it in a folder label it, and you can access it from anywhere very good to go plus it save storage on your computer because it's going directly there and set it onto your hard drive so I don't know if there's a disadvantage to it from what I can tell. Dropbox has been one of my most powerful tools for the last 15 years or so. It enables me to share files with others, move many files off my computer so they are saved by a provider that also backs up their servers. I know that every one of my extremely important files is saved, no matter what.

Additionally, the ability to have forms signed is very important for me, which I have that functionality with Dropbox.

The only thing that Dropbox used to have that I really liked and needed was the ability to place a large file to be viewed and/or downloaded during a very specific time frame (i.e., one-week, etc.) before it is unavailable. I disliked that that functionality was pulled.

This solution addresses my need to back up extremely important files, particularly those that must be kept for governmental reasons. Another advantage is that it lets me store files exclusively on the server, which saves a significant amount of hard drive space on business computers. This, in turn, helps computers run more efficiently. Furthermore, it makes it easy to keep older yet still crucial files accessible, as I can retrieve them simply by clicking on them. Additionally, I have truly NEVER needed to contact support. Dropbox ALWAYS works as advertised for my business needs.

The transition to Dropbox was simple thanks to its fast setup, and the desktop version offers convenient quick-share features right in my toolbar, which I can access from anywhere on my computer. I use the free version, and the main drawback for me is the limit on how many files I can upload. However, this isn't a major issue since I can simply delete files I no longer need and upload new ones as necessary.

My favorite part of Dropbox is how nicely it integrates into my computer's file system (MacOS). It's fantastic being able to access my Dropbox folder multiple ways: Menu bar shortcut, Finder, or browser. I use all 3 methods and find it to be a seamless, reliable experience which is important for me because I don't just use Dropbox for personal use, but also for work as a freelancer sending deliverables to people I work with.

There isn't much that I dislike about Dropbox! The only thing I can think of would be that the free tier is very stingy when it comes to storage, especially in 2025 when file sizes can be so large. I use Dropbox as a way to deliver videos for client review and Dropbox provides very convenient tools for commenting.  I developed a workflow to use comments in the Dropbox interface as tasks to complete following client review, and leaving detailed notes creates a very useful "paper trail" of conversations to review prior iterations of an edited video.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

The tools to download large quantities of data are very rudimentary.  If I want to download a folder with a large volume of data to my computer (number of files is high AND there's a large total size of data) I either have to 1)use the Dropbox app which will force me to sync desktop with my entire Dropbox UNLESS I fiddle with sync settings, which is very inconvenient, 2)Download a zip archive of the entire folder via the web, which will likely fail, 3)Individually download each and every file in the folder which is time consuming, or 4)Download onto my iPhone or iPad via the Dropbox app and then Airdrop to my PC, which is both time consuming AND fiddly.

Dropbox provides a FAST way to upload video, send them for client review, AND providing a platform for client notes to be itemized.

Syncing works reliably so I can access files anywhere, and the collaboration features (sharing links, version history, and cross-platform support) noticeably improve workflow efficiency. It integrates well with tools like Microsoft Office, Slack, and Google Docs, making teamwork smoother and file access seamless. The interface is clean, and setup was quick and straightforward

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

Dropbox is simple and reliable for storing, syncing, and sharing files across devices. The file versioning feature has saved me multiple times when I accidentally overwrote a file. Sharing large files with clients (especially globally) is effortless. The desktop app and integrations with tools like MS Office and Slack make it smooth to use. I have used it during my CA Final preparations when I used to write test and upload answers for my mentor to check. He would upload test papers on dropbox and I would upload the answers.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

Free storage is very limited compared to competitors like Google Drive. The paid plans felt expensive, especially for students or freelancers. Also, collaboration features (like commenting or real-time editing) are not as strong as Google Workspace or OneDrive.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me in sharing study materials, submitting test answers, etc.

I like its integration with other apps. I can create documents on my computer using programs like Scrivener, and then edit them right on my phone.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

Sometimes the integration can feel a bit clunky. It may not even be Dropbox’s fault, but when I use Scrivener it isn’t very straightforward: I have to create new files within the program and then resync multiple times to get everything lined up.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to send large files, edit them locally, and then easily sync everything to the cloud so I can keep editing on the go.

I appreciate the transparency of the system, which integrates perfectly with the Finder. I also like the ability to share folders very easily with other users.

File transfer is slower compared to cloud systems where data is not stored on our machine. The price of the accounts is slightly above the competition.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dropbox allows me to no longer have physical storage keys to carry files. Dropbox allows me to share common sources with others, solving the problem of outdated folders that do not share the same resource documents.

The biggest drawback for me is the pricing structure. The free tier feels quite limited, and moving up to a paid plan is a significant jump in cost if you only need a moderate amount of additional space. I’ve also noticed that syncing very large files can be slow at times and can put a noticeable strain on my computer’s resources.

It solves the “file too large to email” problem. I can send massive videos or presentations (up to 100GB+ on certain plans) using a simple link, instead of struggling with compression, failed uploads, or other sending errors.
