What stands out most is how well DRACOON caters to German data protection rules and local labor laws from the start. The detailed permission settings let us lock down access to personnel files and contracts precisely, which is non-negotiable for our HR work. The built-in audit logs record every file operation automatically, cutting down huge amounts of work during official compliance audits. The platform is also really easy to get used to. Our team needed almost no extra training to get started. I rely heavily on the version history for contracts and company policies, as we can look back at every revision with total clarity. Encrypted external sharing keeps confidential paperwork safe when we work with outside partners, and the mobile access works steadily, so we can handle documents even when we’re out of the office. There are a few pain points that slow down our daily HR routines. It doesn’t offer solid native connections to the popular HR management systems widely used in Germany, so we have to move files back and forth manually, creating repetitive extra work. The notification system is quite basic too — we can’t set up custom alerts for changes to employment agreements or key HR documents. On top of that, the default audit reports don’t have pre-made templates tailored for German labor compliance, so we always need to reorganize the exported data manually afterward.
