What do you like best about DRaaS for Oracle?

Oracle database is one of the best in the industry for many years. Their DR setup using Data Guard, FSFO is one of the best I have seen. It has very little downtime, ensuring high availability, data protection, and disaster recovery for data. Real-time apply is one of the cool features. Online redo logs help enable the same. RAC with DR setup is one of the highly available environments in the industry. Oracle DRaaS has a similar concept as AWS cloud. They have regions, availability domains, and fault domains. Also, for storage similar to S3 in Oracle Cloud, you have object storage. The combination of all these makes this product the best in the industry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DRaaS for Oracle?

Cost is definitely one negative point that I see. Another may be a slight operational burden in configuration post-DR. Also, another thing we may see is log file sync issues. These kinds of issues will be seen if you have frequent commits. This is an application configuration issue as well. A really good application designer will not keep bulk commits or frequent commits. What problems is DRaaS for Oracle solving and how is that benefiting you?

Data protection and flexible setup. Oracle DRaaS setup is a very seamless configuration. Really fast and almost zero downtime. Customers will not really see any issues.
