Everyone can use it and their free option is generous! I have recommended Canva and/or implemented it into my workplace for almost as long as it's been around. I've had amazing customer support and have worked with a rep specific to my line of work who was so genuine. Canva has been easy to maneuver since it's start. The browser is my primary go to but the mobile app is pretty user friendly too. It's brand kit section is probably my favorite features. I love having my brand tools at the ready—colors, fonts, logos, graphics, and so much more! Canva provides what seems like an endless amount of templates, ideas, and elements. It changed the template game and I think only for the better. **What do you dislike about Canva?** My two biggest gripes with Canva are its AI and the lack of an artboard/workspace outside of the active canvas. The AI integration through ChatGPT is disappointing; the two don’t seem to actually work well with each other. I try it every so often to see if it's improved, but I still find the AI to be hallucinatory or banal. I've asked for it many times, but Canva would be even better if it offered a workspace to drag elements off the screen. Figma and Adobe have it and I think if they could get that out, it would bump them back up to the top. **What problems is Canva solving and how is that benefiting you?** Canva allows for 'non' creatives to get artsy which in turn allows me to trust them to make something that won't be terrible. The brand kit is a lifesaver for this! I can have an entire repository of our assets from anywhere. I love how responsive the app is when I'm looking for uploads, elements, etc. We pay for the company/team tier which also offers premium designs and content which has saved us in a pinch. I think Canva saves us time and money plus, it's fun to use! ### 2. I have loved all of the added features that come with the paid version. The graphics are of great quality and endless. There have been very few times that I haven't been able to find exactly what I am looking for. I love being able to upload my own files and edit them. Canva is extremely easy to use. What you are looking for is relatively easy to find. I have used Canva multiple times to create projects for my Rise vision board. It worked seamlessly together. **What do you dislike about Canva?** I haven't had very many issues with Canva. The only problem I have had, and I believe it was more operator error than anything, is sharing a project so each person could edit their own version and keep the original the same. **What problems is Canva solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has helped me with communicating with the parents of my students by enabling me to make eye-catching projects that are hard to ignore. ### 4. I can simply drag and drop elements, and the interface feels very user-friendly. I also like that Canva runs smoothly on low-memory devices, and I’m able to keep multiple Canva tabs open at the same time without issues. That’s especially useful when I’m editing reels for different accounts: I can open several tabs with different formats at once, drag and drop the media into each one, and keep changes consistent across them just by switching between tabs. Overall, it’s very convenient. **What do you dislike about Canva?** I think there are a few issues that should be improved. For example, if I add a text element to a 1-minute video and then drag and drop a 40-second video, the text element should automatically adjust to match the new video length. Instead, the 40-second video ends up behaving like a 20-minute video because it repeats at the end. The element should auto-adjust so it starts at the 20-second point on the timeline and ends at 40 seconds, but right now it starts at 40 seconds and ends at 60 seconds. This really should be fixed. Also, it was somewhat hard to set up Canva for the first time. **What problems is Canva solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Canva to format reels because it’s user-friendly, and I can easily drag and drop elements. It also runs well on low-memory devices and still lets me keep multiple tabs open, which makes it easier to edit the same video for different accounts. ### 5. The drag and drop interface makes designing very straightforward, and the availability of templates is a big advantages. it helps me get started quickly without having to design everything from scratch. I also like the variety f elements , fonts and images available within the platform. **What do you dislike about Canva?** One limitation I've noticed is that customization can sometimes feel restricted campared to more adavanced design tools. If you need very detailed or compex designs , canva may not provide fully flexibility. Earlier, creating visuals used to take more efforts or required external tools, bit now I can do everything in one place quickly. I just drag and drop the elements, and it's user-friendly. I also appreciate that Canva runs on low-memory devices without any issues, and I can have many Canva tabs open at a time. This feature is especially helpful when I'm working on editing reels for different accounts; I can open all the tabs with different formatting at once, drag and drop the media, and make consistent changes across them by switching tabs. The standout feature for me is the wide variety of templates available. There are templates for many different domains, and within each domain there are multiple options to choose from, which makes it easy to find something that fits. Overall, it streamlines my workflow and helps me perform better while creating projects. It is quite frequently used application as it is required in day to day basis. There is a great ease of implementation with the AI part. **What do you dislike about Canva?** The main thing I dislike is that many of the best templates available in Canva are only in the Pro version, and I can’t access them unless I pay. This creates a limitation while working, because I sometimes can’t move forward with what I’m trying to do if I’m unable to pay for the Pro version. Also, the application lags sometimes when I’m working on larger projects. **What problems is Canva solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main problem this application solves is that it lets us create more advanced designs even if we don’t know much about design, thanks to its AI feature. Since our family profession involves printing and designing templates, as well as various pamphlets and flex, it helps us a lot in our day-to-day work. I like that I can upload templates and then have access to all kinds of editing tools and graphical elements. I especially like being able to edit videos and add my company’s corporate watermark, so I can create customized vendor videos with our stamp on them. Overall, it’s great for social media creation, invitations, and just about anything else graphical you want to make. **What do you dislike about Canva?** Some functions required me to do a bit of research to figure out how to pull them off before I could start using the app effectively. It took some time to learn which graphical tools would work for my purposes, and it wasn’t as intuitive as I originally hoped. Once I got the hang of it, though, it worked pretty well for adding watermarks to videos and for creating content for social media posts. **What problems is Canva solving and how is that benefiting you?** I mainly use it to create, edit, and post graphic or video content directly to platforms like Facebook. I can also use different editing techniques, such as adding watermarks to videos or applying different design layouts to social media templates. Great product, with some unfortunate UX components **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Rebecca P. | National Operations Manager, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2025 **What do you like best about Canva?** - easy to use or learn as a new user - easy to edit designs - free plan can work for most and there is no need to upgrade **What do you dislike about Canva?** - the teams paid package where you share your designs with colleagues can be challenging because you have to one by one identify which designs you want to share with the team, versus all designs in that group being public to the team - we have a paid account, but seeing the paid features with a crown made us think we weren't able to use those features. We eventually realized after a few months that those items were included. - Sometimes editing the size of something on a design will not let you drag to the size you want, it forces you to align with another object on the page which can be frustrating. I found an alternative where you go in one at a time and change the positioning by a couple points but it's still not the most intuitive or easy to use. - Customer service doesn't really exist. It's hard to find the contact information and then when you do it's just an email. So you email them and get a different person responding each time and it is a delayed response. I'd much rather prefer a chat bot to speak to a customer service rep while using the product. **What problems is Canva solving and how is that benefiting you?** An easy to use design platform for everyone from business to personal at home use.
