"Affordable Cloud Solution for a Small Indie - Highly Recommended"
5/5
What do you like best about Diversion Version Control?

1. The first 100 GB of cloud is free, that's plenty of room for you to test what you need to test and then make a final decision. We've used it for about a month and then instantly expanded our storage; their prices are very competitive.

2. The desktop app is very intuitive and easy to learn; I would say within 24 hours I had a pretty good idea of what I was doing. The graph/liniage feature is super useful as it allows me to see what everyone is doing in the same easy-to-use place.

3. Branch testing: we have various developers who are working on lots of different functions at the same time. If I want to test something in their personal branch, within the matter of 10 seconds I'm able to test something. 10 seconds later I can be in my dev or even main branch.

4. Commit/Pulls are almost instantaneous. I don't exactly know how it works but I assume they preload or cache everything, and Diversion is constantly making sure everything is up to date, and then everything is available with a press of a button. We've used on prem SVN/Tortoise in the past and I feel like we just invented "flying" or "wheel". During the initial repo migration, I was getting everything ready and connected the folder right away. When I clicked initial commit, it was instant, which made me think something was wrong but it was available for my team the minute I clicked that button.

5. Testing. I test everyone's work before it goes to production; sometimes I move or click on things by accident. With the click of a button, I can undo all changes I made by accident and always have a local repo in the default state that I want.

6. Onboarding was excellent as well, and I still talk to my rep to this day who helps me answer various questions that I have.

7. Can't comment much on their UE plugin but Ive heard from my team members that it's very useful if you are full time UE dev. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
