What do you like best about Dext?

What I like best about Dext is how much time it saves me on data entry. Instead of manually keying in every receipt and invoice, I just snap a photo or forward the email and it pulls the supplier, date, amount, and tax details automatically. The extraction accuracy has gotten noticeably better over time, and it syncs straight into Xero and QuickBooks, so my clients' books stay current without me chasing paperwork. The mobile app is clean and easy enough that even my less tech-savvy clients can submit receipts on the go. Onboarding was straightforward, and when I've had questions, support has been responsive. For the amount of manual work it removes, the pricing pays for itself pretty quickly across a client portfolio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dext?

The biggest downside is that the extraction isn't perfect, so I still have to review and correct items now and then, especially with unusual invoice layouts or handwritten receipts. It can occasionally misread amounts or pull the wrong tax code, which means I can't fully trust it without a quick check. Every so often the sync with Xero lags or an item gets stuck, which takes a few minutes to sort out. None of these are dealbreakers, but they're the rough edges I run into. What problems is Dext solving and how is that benefiting you?

Dext solves the paperwork bottleneck that used to eat up so much of my time. Before, I was manually entering receipts and invoices and constantly chasing clients for missing documents, which made month-end a scramble. Now clients submit as they go, everything gets captured and coded, and it flows into their accounting software, so the books stay closer to real-time instead of being weeks behind. That means I can take on more clients without adding hours, close periods faster, and give clients cleaner, more current numbers when they need to make decisions.
