The layout is basic. **What do you dislike about Device Magic?** Nothing, it's very intuitive. I have no issues. **Recommendations to others considering Device Magic:** You can't go wrong using this program! It is a good way to fill out forms on the field, without internet and anywhere you may be. **What do you dislike about Device Magic?** Devicemagic gives no refunds no matter what. We were mislead by their poorly designed website and were automatically billed onto our credit card for over 3000$ worth of licenses. We told devicemagic the issue and they were unwilling to give a refund and were told that according to the terms and conditions, they have all the rights to bill us without consent. Very dishonest company, couldn't recommend **What problems is Device Magic solving and how is that benefiting you?** We, unfortunately, did not get to that point ### 3. The backoffice (web browser-based) part, used to set up forms, works great, and the forms always do what I expected. The back end, though, is amazing. I haven't found an integration that I couldn't make happen; I use a lot of google drive and XML to move data from Device Magic to my legacy systems; DeviceMagic supports just about every sort of connection I can think of beyond that. We bought into DeviceMagic because our web-based data collection app isn't very mobile friendly; Device Magic is *totally* mobile friendly and highly reliable. Integrating the data from the two systems is much easier with the DeviceMagic data than the other system. I'm hoping we can replace the other thing with DeviceMagic soon. I LOVE that the app will collect data whether it has a data connection or not, and if not, automatically submit the data as soon as it does have a connection. We develop content in both English and Spanish for our contractors, and DeviceMagic handles this quite well. **What do you dislike about Device Magic?** I'd really like to be able to fill in forms (collect data) from an office PC , perhaps via a web browser (I hear that is coming, though). At this point, the app and the backend only seem to know how to deal with pictures for attachments; allowing something like a PDF to be attached could be very useful, especially if we can get to where we can fill out a form on a PC or a browser. Not really a dislike, but I'd kind of like to be able to develop forms in more non-english languages. **What problems is Device Magic solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a forestry company, and we wanted to enable our foresters to submit safety data from the woods, where there is never a PC, and rarely a cellular data signal. THey were having to remember to submit their data when they got back to the office; DeviceMagic allows the data to be collected in the woods where the incidents happen (including photos) and it takes care of getting the data back to the office servers automatically. The foresters are submitting 4-5 times as many reports now, and with better data than before, because it is so easy and convenient to do it "right now" when something happens. They also love the ability to use their phone's voice to text features instead of typing something out. ### 4. The support staff are teriffic and friendly. You can be online and gathering data near immediately. **What do you dislike about Device Magic?** Overall the product does a great job of gathering field data without much of any issue. The back side of analyics isnt as robust as it could be and can be improved but the developers and support group are working on that and making good strides to improve those functions and others. **What problems is Device Magic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Data from the field flows seamlessly, quickly and deployment is a breeze because DM is compatible with IOS and Android. Pulling that data without any intervention or unnecessary manipulation makes the job a much cleaner process. ### 5. I explained the situation that i wasn't using the product but they didn't care and insisted I pay the annual amount regardless (robotically referring to their terms and conditions). They they then sent to a debt collection agency. The product might be decent but they don't care at all about their customers or companies that work with their software. For any prospective customers, I believe Zoho Forms does all that device magic does at a fraction of the price so just go with them. **What problems is Device Magic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Collect Data Offline ### 6. I love that when I have a question I can chat with someone right away or I can email my company success rep and they get back to me right away. **What do you dislike about Device Magic?** I feel that the analytics portion of the portal could be improved significantly. There is also an option for automatic reports to be sent on a weekly or daily bases dependent on the information that is requested. **Recommendations to others considering Device Magic:** Don't wait! It has been very beneficial to our company and we are using it in ways we didn't think were possible! **What problems is Device Magic solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are eliminating tons of paper! We are also able to see more information quicker! We primarily use DM for safety observations and audits and we are seeing a huge up-tick in submissions simply because our employees do not have to keep track of the paper and remember to turn it in. Our management is also seeing these observations and audits quicker so they can address concerns right away and not several days after the fact. ### 7. Drag and drop to setup forms makes it easy to use. **What do you dislike about Device Magic?** The pricing of this product has become unpredictable. Prices keep rising and when my last payment was taken, it had jumped from $40.80 a month to $81 with no new users. Calls for an explanation took about 3 weeks and I was told of emails advising me of price upgrades. This was true but I was also told I was on a "special" price plan because I had been a customer for so long. To then double the price, was crazy. For the amount we used this product (maybe 80 forms a month), there is no way I can justify $1000 a year in costs. **Recommendations to others considering Device Magic:** A quick way to remove paper from the cycle but watch the pricing! **What problems is Device Magic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Removed use of paper and ability to update forms that are synced across multiple devices without user intervention. ### 8. The form UI for mobile users is clean and simple, very easy for inexperienced users to navigate. I like that you can force an answer so that users cannot skip over key questions. We use multiple subcontractors and it is easy to dispatch forms out to all of the subcontractors in one quick process. We can customize our forms on the fly without disrupting the workflow of the guys in the field. **What do you dislike about Device Magic?** The subscription model of charging per device vs per user can get to be expensive and is an additional management requirement. If you don't carefully manage this, it gets expensive quickly. **Recommendations to others considering Device Magic:** Device Magic gives you the ability to create new forms fast and get them dispatched to your end users. You can customize the form output into your own report templates and distribute the information quickly. Easy to use and easy to deploy! **What problems is Device Magic solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use subcontractors across the US to do site inspections and perform hardware installations. We don't have a large field staff so the only way we can get the surveys done quickly and verify the installations are complete is by have a mobile app based form that is completed by the contractor's field tech. Techs submit the forms while they are still onsite which gives us realtime view of the work that was completed. Huge time and expense reduction for us! ### 9. Excellent Ideal Program To Record All Our Projects **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Jhonny Jesus G. | Administrativo, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2019 **What do you like best about Device Magic?** It is very easy to use even for people without experience with this technology, it is very practical and has several functions that are very useful for the company, it facilitates the creation of forms and adapting the existing forms for new uses that are sent both to our customers or partners of our company, this saves us a lot of time in our daily activities and has a nice design and I sincerely believe that anyone can use this efficient program. **What do you dislike about Device Magic?** It has not happened to me very often but sometimes the program freezes and closes the windows and I lose and lose forms that I had created and I have to repeat the process again it does not happen very often but when it happens it is stressful **Recommendations to others considering Device Magic:** I highly recommend this excellent program that is very useful because we now have a lot of time and money to our business with impeccable customer service and at a low cost it offers its services **What problems is Device Magic solving and how is that benefiting you?** The forms that we have created are of great importance since we save a lot of time and money, we have better organized with better performance that facilitates many things in our company that is responsible for providing advisory services for strategic projects and management software ### 10. Good enough we can send newly created forms to field workers wherever they are, they can collect and submit data including location, pictures and signatures without the need for internet connection or mobile network, and submitted data sorts itself in the system to where is it needed.
