"Seamless, Trusted, Verification tools for Building Carrier/Broker/Industry Relationships"

What do you like best about Descartes MyCarrierPortal?

I use Descartes MyCarrierPortal nearly every day in my job. The ever changing freight industry requires the setup of new carriers to be smooth and speedy, and MyCarrierPortal is just that. The layout of Carrier Profiles is very intuitive. It allows vetting to happen at a glance, and offers in-depth information for further reviews when necessary. Not to mention, the help desk staff are incredibly kind and patient. Carrier Vetting has become so important in this industry and Descartes allows for easy access to relevant data for ensuring carriers being set up meet the requirements.

UPDATED 7/27/26: MCP still makes vetting and verifying carriers seamless. They keep up to date information at Broker's fingertips so transactions and relationships can be built on solid foundations. People helping people is how the transportation industry survives and MCP is one of the most reliable tools to protect all people/parties involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Descartes MyCarrierPortal?

Sometimes, there is a lag with updated information and Carriers get caught in a "verification loop" when trying to update their profiles. At times, Descartes will try to send an email to an address it's concurrently trying to "verify" leaving carriers left with only the option to call from their registered numbers. While this works, it can be challenging when working with a dispatcher for a carrier who does not have access to the main line to make that verification call.

UPDATE 7/27/26: Much has been improved in helping carriers through this part of the process. Help desk team is VERY competent and friendly. No additional costs for additional help Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
