I like that Descartes MacroPoint is user-friendly and easy to navigate, including the menus. I had no issue using it, even when I was a newly hired employee. I also like the tracking, the dashboard, and the control tower; they’re useful to me. Sometimes the shipments I’m tracking suddenly disconnect when Descartes MacroPoint switches from the driver’s phone number to the unit number, especially when the ELD isn’t integrated or has disconnected. It’s a hassle because I have to create a new assignment and delete the saved tracking number from our system. I wish it would use the phone number instead when the ELD integration isn’t active.
