The user friendly interfaces are intuitive for our users and the dashboards give great visibility into their projects. **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** - A lot of the material in the Learning Hub and help documentation is outdated. Trying to follow the steps is often guesswork as they no longer relate to the current system - it seems that sharing ideas to the Idea Portal is of no use. There are many great ideas that seem to be simple fixes but have been sitting there for literal years. - known defects within the system take a long time to be resolved - invoice template editor isn't user friendly, also there is no ability to edit number of decimal places for percent complete **What problems is Deltek Vantagepoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Consolidation of multiple programs into one source User friendly interface Replacing archaic software ### 2. Navigating through different tabs is much easier and it helps reduce my stress levels. I love being able to deep dive into project details, seeing who else in my company has worked on a project, and reaching out to them if necessary. The tracking features are awesome; being able to look myself up and see which projects I've worked on in the past is handy. Access to project budgets helps me stay on track with spending, preventing overspending before it becomes a problem. Also, accessing my timesheet on my phone is indispensable, and this all makes my workflow much smoother. The initial setup was super simple and I can use my credentials from onboarding. Overall, Deltek Vantagepoint has been a great tool that I’d definitely recommend. **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** I feel that a comprehensive PDF/printout of project details could be very helpful. It'd be a lot of information, but perhaps a compilation of pertinent details like 1) contract, 2) employees involved, 3) client details, 4) projected timeline, and 5) budgets to date would be helpful. **What problems is Deltek Vantagepoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Deltek Vantagepoint to efficiently track project budgets and prevent overspending. Its user-friendly interface makes navigation easy, reducing my stress. Lack of knowledgeable staff, implementor didn't have strong knowledge of system, any customization was incredibly expensive and had a wait time of more than 3 months. I would highly recommend looking at other alternatives as company is not staffed with knowledgable resources to effectively support new clients on their system. System is also really slow and manually posting of transactions is archaic and out of date. **What problems is Deltek Vantagepoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Non. They are horrible at responding. Customer service is non existent. I suspect it is because they are not staffed with enough employees. I have appreciated increased transparency on what features and changes are on the horizon before those changes are implemented. The customer ideas portal has been successful in letting users express their needs and wants out of Vantagepoint and is a place where users can interact with each other and the Deltek team. **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** Deltek Vantagepoint still has areas that aren't as flexible or adaptable as our team would like along with the areas that require heavy investment to learn and maintain. The AI agent built into Vantagepoint is not useful. From the shortcomings of what it can do, the way it is inconsistent in responses, and to the length of time it takes to get a reply, I find it faster to bypass the AI tool, using the traditional route to get what I need. **What problems is Deltek Vantagepoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vantagepoint is a good comprehensive platform for financial, billing, project management and reporting that just is not found in other applications we have looked at compared to it. Having an all-in-one place is a time saver when our users understand how to get the most out of it. We have also seen the benefit of automation in the workflows and scheduled reporting that saves a lot of manual time for entries or sending out data. ### 5. It's well designed for tracking progress to ensure accurate revenue recognition and capturing team members' times into the right WBS structures, which is crucial for our projects that have fewer phases and milestones. **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** Its interface is a little dated and not as intuitive. Entering time and entering data requires numerous clicks and oftentimes is cumbersome. As well, it is not always intuitive as to where you might find an approval PO or an invoice approval; they are not all in the approval sector. And not everything is available via their API, which makes it challenging to create additional automations. **What problems is Deltek Vantagepoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Deltek Vantagepoint for entering timesheets to bill clients and recognize revenue. Support from Deltek is always amazing. **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** I don’t think I’ve come across many issues with Vantagepoint so far. That said, it will take a lot of work for us as a business to move all of our custom fields and other setup over to Vantagepoint and get everything working properly. **What problems is Deltek Vantagepoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Performance-wise, Vantagepoint runs much quicker and cleaner than Vision, and that’s something we really love. Their approval systems for, like, invoices need to be updated so that there's a multi-level approval system. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, I handle BI reporting and integration development, and Deltek Vantagepoint really accelerates both these tasks. **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** I think Deltek Vantagepoint could use more robust logging for system administrators, which would really solve a bunch of problems. Also, trace logging on both client and server sides and restoring the relationship with Salesforce and Tableau to bundle Tableau licenses would be beneficial. The initial setup was tricky for us, especially with running the PowerShell file repeatedly because it kept failing. We faced challenges with user training in areas like Opportunities and Projects merging, and Clients and Vendors merging. **What problems is Deltek Vantagepoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Deltek Vantagepoint as a robust, customizable ERP for our medium-sized enterprise.
