What do you like best about DbVisualizer?

The ability to connect to multiple types of databases (MySQL, Athena, etc.) and color-code each one based on things like environment is huge. I also like that I can quickly view different features of a SQL DB through a simple, easy-to-use navigation system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DbVisualizer?

It’s missing some basics, like a solid fuzzy search when I’m writing a query. Often I roughly know the table or column name, but I don’t always remember the exact prefix offhand, and it slows me down. On top of that, the pricing feels high, both for a first-time purchase and for renewals, especially compared with most competitor offerings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DbVisualizer solving and how is that benefiting you?

I can quickly search for data issues or pull data for a quick report. Being able to write a query against a development database first, refine it, and then run that same query in the same tab against a prod DB helps me catch performance issues early. It also means I don’t have to copy and paste queries across multiple tabs, which keeps the workflow smoother and less error-prone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
