"Fast and Smart Tool with Great Functionality"
4.5/5
What do you like best about dbForge Studio for PostgreSQL?

· Performance: The program is extremely fast and completely lightweight on system resources. It runs smoothly with no lag. This is critical for me personally, as I often use it on low-spec PCs.

· AI Assistant: The built-in AI is implemented very well. It genuinely helps when working with the database and takes off a lot of routine workload. If you attach the current DB connection to it, it provides context-aware help specifically within that connection.

· Code Editing: Very convenient code autocomplete, which allows writing large SQL queries effortlessly and quickly.

· Visualization & Analytics: Having a Visual Query Builder and a full-fledged Report Designer is a massive plus for data work and for using the tool in educational processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about dbForge Studio for PostgreSQL?

· DBMS Administration: I couldn't find any GUI tools for managing user roles and permissions. For a comprehensive IDE, this is a notable downside, as you are forced to handle these tasks via the SQL console or third-party software.

· Clunky Transition to Query Builder: Moving the current query from the SQL Editor to the Query Builder is possible, but the implementation is poorly thought out—the command is buried somewhere deep in the main menu. For students and learners, the ability to quickly visualize their code is a dream feature, but the convoluted UX makes it awkward to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
