## DaVinci Resolve Reviews
  ### 1. Davinci Resolve: Professional, All-in-One Video Editing with Advanced Color Grading (Free)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muzammil M. | Founder – Muzammil Graphic | Interior and Graphic Designer | Transforming Spaces and Brands Visually , Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?**

Davinci Resolve brings video editing, color correction, visual effects, and audio tools together in one application, so I don't need to switch between multiple programs. The timeline is flexible, keyboard shortcuts help speed up editing, and the color grading tools give much better control than most free editors. Even the free version includes enough features for creating polished videos, which makes it a great choice for anyone who wants professional results without a subscription.

**What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?**

The biggest challenge is the learning curve. New users may need some time to understand the different editing pages and workflow. It also performs best on a system with good hardware, so complex projects or high-resolution footage can feel slow on older computers. Some advanced AI features are only available in the Studio version.

**What problems is DaVinci Resolve solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Davinci Resolve helps me complete the entire editing process in one place, from organizing clips to color correction, audio cleanup, and final export. This keeps my workflow more organized and reduces the need to move projects between different applications. It saves time on larger editing tasks while giving me enough control to produce clean, professional-looking videos.

  ### 2. User-Friendly DaVinci Resolve with Great Performance and an Amazing Magic Mask

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yash P. | Final Year B-Tech Student, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?**

I like how easy it is once you get the hang of it. The UI is user-friendly, and the performance of DaVinci Resolve on the premium version is really great. The one-time purchase also makes it feel more affordable than other editors out there. The AI Magic Mask is probably my favorite feature,I use it a lot, and it makes the work so much easier. I use OBS to record, then integrate that gameplay into Davinci Resolve.

**What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?**

I think DaVinci might seem complex to beginners at first, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes much easier to use.

**What problems is DaVinci Resolve solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a content creator, I upload gaming videos, vlogs on different social media platforms, I edit my every video in davinci resolve weather its a short form video like reel or long form video for youtube, It really is the best editing software out there in my opinion

  ### 3. Very professional software with exceptional features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alfonso M. | Director de comunicaciones y relaciones públicas, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?**

It is a very professional software. Its features are exceptional compared to others available in the market.

**What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?**

Sometimes there is not much clarity in the menu options, which makes it confusing.

The support for using the software is often deficient, as the tutorials available on YouTube are outdated, and therefore do not include all the features that currently exist.

**What problems is DaVinci Resolve solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralize audiovisual editing in a single software with high performance and efficiency. Evidently, this translates into a great user experience. And although the license price may currently sound high, if I compare it with the subscriptions that currently exist in the market — most of which are only monthly and without the actual purchase of the software — Da Vinci undoubtedly has a great advantage in the final offer it provides us as users.

  ### 4. All-in-One Pro Editing Powerhouse with an Impressive Free Version

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?**

What I like best about DaVinci Resolve is that it combines professional video editing, color grading, visual effects, and audio editing in one platform. The interface is powerful yet organized, and the free version offers many advanced features that are usually paid in other editing software. It also performs well for creating high-quality content for YouTube and social media.

**What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?**

One thing I dislike about DaVinci Resolve is that it can be resource-intensive, especially on lower-end PCs or laptops. Complex projects may lag or take longer to render, and beginners can find the interface overwhelming at first because of the large number of professional tools and features available.

**What problems is DaVinci Resolve solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DaVinci Resolve solves the problem of managing video editing, color grading, visual effects, and audio production across multiple tools by bringing everything into one platform. This improves workflow efficiency, reduces editing time, and makes content creation smoother and more organized.

The software also offers strong integrations with tools like Fusion, external plugins, cloud collaboration, and support for multiple camera formats, which helps streamline team projects and file compatibility. Its AI-powered features, such as automatic scene detection, facial recognition, voice isolation, and smart editing tools, help speed up repetitive tasks and improve productivity.

From a support and onboarding perspective, there are many tutorials, community forums, and official training resources available, making it easier for beginners to learn while still offering advanced capabilities for professionals. In terms of pricing and ROI, the free version is extremely feature-rich, and the one-time paid Studio version provides excellent value compared to subscription-based editing software, making it cost-effective for long-term use.

  ### 5. Best Free Professional Video Editor I’ve Used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nishant S. | Equity Trader Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?**

The best thing about DaVinci Resolve is that it offers high-end editing and color grading features for free. The UI feels professional, and once you get used to it, the workflow becomes really smooth.

**What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?**

The main downside is that it can be resource-heavy. On lower-end PCs, playback and rendering may lag, especially when working with effects or high-resolution footage.

**What problems is DaVinci Resolve solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me create professional-looking videos without needing expensive editing software. The built-in color grading and audio tools improve the quality of my projects, and the free version makes advanced editing accessible without extra cost.

  ### 6. DaVinci Delivers Pro-Level Editing, Color Grading, and Audio—Even in the Free Version

What i like best about DaVinci is that it provides profesional level editing, colour grading, audio tools in one software, especially with a very powerful free version

Davinci is solving the problems of needing multiple tools for video editing color grading, effects and audio by providing everything in one platform it benefits me by saving money improving workflow officials and allowing me to create a professional quality videos

  ### 7. Fast Learning Curve, Efficient and Versatile Editing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicolas T. | 3D Environment Artist

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?**

I really appreciate the ease of use in DaVinci Resolve, with everything set correctly in the UI. Even if I'm not sure where something is, I can quickly search for it and be ready to go. It's also pretty fast, and I feel like it has significantly improved my workflow. The interface is incredibly well-resolved. The fact that the free version is pretty capable is also amazing for people starting out.

**What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?**

I think one of the things that DaVinci Resolve is less capable of is when we start getting to longer videos that are also higher in resolution. But I guess that also gets kicked out of the way when you use proxies, so it's probably something related to hardware and not the software itself. It has some bugs here and there like the voice over not being saved if the voice over window in on top of the footage and something like that but you can manage.

**What problems is DaVinci Resolve solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DaVinci Resolve simplifies my video creation for social media and YouTube with a quick learning curve and all necessary tools in one place.

  ### 8. Great for Adding Planar Tracking Screenshots and Videos to B-Roll

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron M. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?**

This is great for adding planar tracking screenshots or videos into other videos when creating B-roll.

**What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?**

It’s a bit buggy on the latest Linux due to incorrect dependencies, and it’s also very fussy about codecs.

**What problems is DaVinci Resolve solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this to edit AI-generated videos by inserting screenshots and clips into the B-roll. The workflow is really fast and simple, which makes it easy to get this done quickly.

  ### 9. The tool to start a career in video editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claudio G. | Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?**

Not only it is a video editor, but a complete suite for editing, color correcting, audio and VFX in just one program, and it is free for most of the tools.

**What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?**

Some features are only provided in the paid version, but at least they are the most advanced ones.

**What problems is DaVinci Resolve solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is the tool I needed when I reluctantly left Final Cut Pro a few years ago and it has served me fine ever since.

  ### 10. Easy tools for excellent video editing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suraj D. | web dev, Information Technology and Services

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2025

**What do you like best about DaVinci Resolve?**

I really like the trimming feature of DaVinci Resolve with shortcuts, which makes trimming very easy. Also, when I upload my files in the director, I can take them to the edit section and directly bring them to my timeline, and it buffers less even with eight GB RAM. It works as fast as I need and there is no drop in frame rate. During editing, it doesn't make my CPU feel like a powerhouse. Its setup process is also very user-friendly and it guided me step-by-step, which felt very convenient. After that, I really enjoyed it.

**What do you dislike about DaVinci Resolve?**

So far, I haven't seen any issues with DaVinci Resolve, but if you want to make it even better, I can offer some suggestions. When you do coloring in it, I would like to see some samples available for free, such as filters that you can click on. At least five or six filters should be provided for free, after which you can charge a basic premium.

**What problems is DaVinci Resolve solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I easily edit videos using DaVinci Resolve, I enjoy it during editing and it is also helpful when creating videos for my blogs. It is simple to use and can edit things during editing.
