What do you like best about Datto RMM?

Datto RMM is a rock-solid, enterprise-grade platform that serves as the engine for proactive IT operations. Its biggest strength is its lightweight, highly reliable agent and its flexible component and scripting framework. It allows you to build custom monitors, deploy automated maintenance tasks, and execute complex scripts across thousands of endpoints with minimal manual overhead.

Where it truly excels is in its ecosystem cohesion. The native integration with Autotask PSA ensures that critical alerts automatically generate properly triaged tickets, while the integration with IT Glue allows for seamless, secure password injection during support sessions. The built-in Web Remote tool is fast and responsive, giving technicians instant access to command lines and remote control without interrupting the end user. What do you dislike about Datto RMM?

As with any robust operational powerhouse, achieving maximum efficiency requires a deliberate upfront investment in configuration. You cannot simply deploy the agent and walk away; you must take the time to properly structure your device filters, tune alert policies to avoid ticket noise, and build out your custom scripting library. Datto RMM solves the challenge of manually maintaining geographically distributed endpoints and relying on disconnected remote support tools.

By centralizing device health monitoring, automating software deployments, and managing aggressive patching schedules, it prevents minor system anomalies from becoming active downtime. The platform proactively identifies issues and orchestrates self-healing scripts or triggers alerts directly into our service desk workflows.
