As an M&A lawyer on mid-market private deals, I like how much time Datasite saves. It's intuitive, so clients and counterparties pick it up quickly. Permissions and watermarking are simple to manage, and bulk upload means the data room fills up fast. The Q&A module keeps buyer questions organised, and the audit trail gives a clear record of what was disclosed. The AI tools are a real bonus too, especially the search, contract summaries and redaction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My main gripe is speed. With large document sets the platform can feel sluggish, which is frustrating when you're up against a signing deadline. There's also a lot packed in, so some features take time to learn and navigation isn't always intuitive. Setting up a new room can mean juggling folder permissions and admin approvals, and with no direct link to cloud storage, everything has to be uploaded and kept in sync by hand. Cost can also be hard to justify on smaller deals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
