There are courses and learning paths for multiple topics, purposes and levels. I have been able to lear many different things even when I am already familiar with some of the languages and methods. The platform is also very user friendly and the sessions are well explained and straigh forward. The duration is good. **What do you dislike about Dataquest?** I love data quest generally. Une suggestion for inprovement is that there are not a lot of ways to identify lessons of courses for single issues, without enroling in a full course or learning path. I would love to be able to search for single sessions and materials for specific topics. **What problems is Dataquest solving and how is that benefiting you?** I work in data anlalysis but I constatly need to learn new methods and explore new tools. You can easily access and switch between courses. I got my certificates from DataQuest, i coded a lot and i conquered my fear. ### 4. Video courses are engaging to watch, but they only create the illusion of learning and progress. When you read, you're more likely to retain the information. Plus, every lesson contains exercises that you must solve (normally with code). This is true even for lessons about things like calculus (which is a course Dataquest actually has). I've never found a platform I've enjoyed learning on more than dataquest. It's so easy to use, and the progress tracking means you want to use it as often as possible. You can learn Excel, data science, data analysis, Tableau, Power BI **What do you dislike about Dataquest?** I don't have much to say on this front. The only thing would be that some of the non-code modules (eg for Excel or Power BI) have actual copies of the programs you can use in your browser, and they sometimes time out, which can be frustrating. **What problems is Dataquest solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm learning how to be a better data professional thanks to Dataquest. A few years ago, I wanted to transition into the analytics space, and Dataquest gave me the foundation to do so. I still find myself on the platform trying to learn new skills. ### 5. Means I can learn and practise the same in the side by side. The User interface is really best for the beginners. **What do you dislike about Dataquest?** The thing I dislike is that if you are just revising the topics, then also you will have to learn everything from scratch. There is no quick way to revise your learnings, you will have to start again! **What problems is Dataquest solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was using Dataquest for my team, as I wanted them to learn new skills and be prepared for future opportunities in the Data Science and AI/ML field. So, I signed up as an administrator for my teamd and sent invite to all of them to join and learn. It was really an easy task for me, as they all could join with our organizational domain. You can start one with absolutely zero coding background and quickly gain competence, escalating progressively and with lots of support along the way. They have many options and focus on building your portfolio so you can be competitive in the job market. The website is clean and easy to use, with a built-in coding environment, minimizing the need for external tools. **What do you dislike about Dataquest?** Some exercises are fairly repetitive, but DQ does allow you to skip sections. **What problems is Dataquest solving and how is that benefiting you?** Making learning accessible and fun, providing certifications for your LinkedIn profile, building core skills to be a data analyst or data scientist. ### 7. I also enjoy the mix view of the chapter info / task on the left then applying the task on the right hand side. If I am ever stuck, they also have a "Get a Hint" feature which is stellar. **What do you dislike about Dataquest?** Sometimes the menu navigation is a bit wonky. When I am covering a topic I already know such as SQL, I usually read the chapters I already know but skip through them. This does not show as "completed" in Dataquest which I guess is right but throws me off when I go back in sometimes. **What problems is Dataquest solving and how is that benefiting you?** SQL - enhancing my SQL skills Python - helped give me a framework to learn Python which I did not know at all before beginning Dataquest ### 8. They also serve as a good starting point if you are completely new to coding and statistics. **What do you dislike about Dataquest?** If you have a prior knowledge of statistical concepts or if you only want to learn specific aspects of R for biostatistics and biomedical research, there are some long modules with things you probably will never use.
