I find cux.io incredibly useful for our small indie game team, especially with its combination of session recordings, rage-click tracking, and visual heatmaps, which don't require complicated coding or advanced analytics knowledge to set up. The user session replays are extremely helpful, allowing me to watch how players navigate our beta sign-up and pre-order pages. With the frustration feature, I can see rage clicks and broken elements instantly, which lets me spot issues before complaints come in. The heatmaps are also great for identifying which sections of a page attract attention and which don't, letting us make improvements that have quickly boosted our sign-ups. It's easy for me to split data by traffic sources like Discord, Twitch, and social media ads to see which channels are most effective. The platform is lightweight, the setup is fast, and the dashboard is clean and straightforward, providing only actionable insights. I really appreciate how recordings and heatmap data are neatly stored within the tool, making it easy to share findings with our development team. The insights help us turn vague traffic statistics into concrete user behavior evidence, continuously optimizing our web pages to boost tester recruitment and pre-order conversions. First, the built-in reporting function is quite basic. It only shows individual session data and heatmaps, without customizable funnels for our beta sign-up process. I cannot automatically calculate the drop-off rate between visiting the page, opening the form, and submitting the application. I have to manually count user sessions and organize the data in spreadsheets to analyze conversion stages. Second, visitor segmentation has restrictions. While I can filter traffic by source, I cannot create combined rule sets. I want to separate first-time visitors coming from Discord ads from returning fans, but the filtering logic is too simple. I end up exporting raw data and sorting entries manually to compare these two groups of potential players. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
