## Copper Reviews
  ### 1. too many steps

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Copper?**

I can customize my pipelines, create specific pipelines for the deals that I'd like to follow up on. I also like the trainings available on the webinars platform.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

I like tracking my leads and deals but somehow, I feel Copper is too many steps to add a deal. First add people, then opportunity. Leads nurturing is a bit obscure. My team is barely using it, and I'm with copper for another 6 months without the ability to get refunded for the team members who are not using it. I also wish I could have quarterly reporting of where my team members are up to in comparison to their goals.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think I'm the only one who uses it on my team and I am paying for 13 seats. It is quite frustrating honestly, and I try to make it work for me, but for these past few months, I think it's a waste of money.

**Official Response from Melanie Raffa:**

> Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Copper. I’m sorry to hear you’ve been recently frustrated with driving value from Copper. We’d love to follow up with you to discuss your workflows and your account setup. Please email mraffa@copper.com and I will connect you with support. All the best,

Melanie at Copper

  ### 2. Not 100% reliable but is very helpful when it is working properly.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Copper?**

I like that Copper offers the ability to track emails between clients/prospects & internal team members. Being able to add companies / people / opportunities is the other main function we use. Reporting is great to have as well.. when it's accurate.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

1. Emails do not always sync for no apparent reason. It's an issue.

2. The "search bar" function doesn't work as well as I'd hope when searching for companies or people. I could type in 1-2 whole words connected to a company name and they may not show up. It's caused many duplicated companies to be built by our team members.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeing how many leads/opportunities are open with my sales team & seeing how many have been closed and won/lost. I also like being about to reference activity for my sales team (number of emails sent, tasks, calls, etc). For my reps, it's incredibly important to see email activity that should be synced so they don't accidentally reach out to a prospect that has already been emailed - because this doesn't work 100% of the time, my team doesn't trust using just copper to document emails.

**Official Response from Melanie Raffa:**

> Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We’re continuously working to improve our platform for customers and your review has been shared with the team. Have you connected with our support team regarding your challenges with email syncing and reporting accuracy? You can connect with them by submitting a ticket here: https://support.copper.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.

All the best,

  ### 3. Way too buggy AND they keep billing your credit card even after you cancel/remove your card

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sue S. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Copper?**

Their claims to integrate well with google and that you can cancel. Shame they do not live up to their promises! Shame on you Copper.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

WARNING! I had constant problems with this software which are fully documented and about to go live. I finally ended up giving up, removed my credit card, told their support staff I was not renewing, emailed cancellation and Copper CRM still billed my credit card, and when I and now force me to have my credit card fight to get my money back and they have the nerve to dispute this. What type of company behaves this way?

**Recommendations to others considering Copper:**

Don't do it.
It doesn't do what is says it does -- reliably -- and when you cancel, they just keep dinging your credit card.
Then the deny that you cancelled when you dispute the charges event after sending proof.
Despite the fact that I'm sure they can tell it was not used.
Who does that? My only though is a company that is desperate.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have stopped using Copper.

**Official Response from Melanie Raffa:**

> Hi Sue, thank you for reaching out. Our team has cancelled your account effective February 2022. Our support and billing team is in touch to discuss next steps related to your refund.

  ### 4. Use copper for KPI reviews.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Copper?**

Easy to use for exporting data for opportunities.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

If something is wrong with data entry, it is hard to locate the error.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Copper is helping us track win percentage both for sales and number of leads.

**Official Response from Melanie Raffa:**

> Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're glad Copper is helping you track your business opportunities. I'm sorry to hear data entry and management has been a challenge, I will share this with the team internally. I also recommend joining our live training and Q&A sessions available through the Copper Community, where one of our experts can share tips for managing your data in Copper. All the best,

Melanie at Copper

  ### 5. Reviewing Copper CRM

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edward B. | Customer Success Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Copper?**

Visibility of tasks and opportunities and integration with Gmail (Google Workspace)

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

Something very very annoying is when you create a Task and mistakenly tag the wrong company to it, there is no way to edit it ... you have to delete the task and create a new one, that is simply inefficient and annoying.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me to keep track of my KPIs , our KPIs dashboard gets the data from Copper and keeps my metrics up to date.

**Official Response from Melanie Raffa:**

> Hi Edward,

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. I'm glad you’re enjoying the platform and it’s helping you keep track of your KPIs. You shared some feedback regarding tasks, and I think this would be great to share with our Copper Community. I invite you to create an idea here: https://community.copper.com/ideas. Our team actively monitors feedback here and other customers can upvote ideas as well.

Many thanks,
Melanie at Copper

  ### 6. Copper is easy to use but BEWARE of their Upgrade path trickery

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave K. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Copper?**

I like you can search for any phone number or name and it will find it.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

Their upgrade path is criminal. They are not clear about adding seats and their customer service is TRAINED to force you to upgrade even if you only want to add one seat. The criminal part is their customer service is trained to ignore requests to downgrade service levels. I tried just adding 1 seat and it forced me to the most costly plan and it took MANY MANY emails to get on a path to fix the issue. Their upgrade path in the dashboard needs to be transparent and made more honest and show the choice. PLUS< you can NOT downgrade the plan without contacting Support and they are worse than useless. I even contacted the head honcho and he could not make it happen. They need to fix this.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can EASILY find a customer when I need to and their scraping tool is VERY GOOD.

**Official Response from Melanie Raffa:**

> Hi Dave,
We appreciate you sharing your feedback and we’re sorry you had this frustrating experience. We’ve recently improved the customer experience for users purchasing during their Copper trial, and in the near future we will be updating the process for adding seats to an account. At this time, all downgrades do need to be processed through our support team. I’ve shared your feedback internally, as we strive to respond to our customers as quickly as possible.
We wish you all the best,
Melanie at Copper

  ### 7. OK

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Copper?**

your spam emails srly, i dont know what else to write

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

your spam emails and the false message that somebody viewed your email

**Recommendations to others considering Copper:**

i dont know, im so so so so sorry

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

comunication and tel numbers at pone place

**Official Response from Melanie Raffa:**

> Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your review of Copper. You mentioned “spam emails” as something you’ve disliked during your time with us. Would you be able to share more detail so we can follow up on that internally? We want to ensure we’re providing our customers a comfortable and engaging experience.

Thank you so much,
Melanie at Copper

  ### 8. Not bad, but missing key features AND pricey

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Copper?**

I really enjoy their CRM! I honestly think this is one of the best and most intuitive CRMs that I've used. I love that it automatically adds company logos (which makes it a lot easier to search visually), and I love that you can so easily sort through both people and companies.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

There's no internal calendar or agenda, which is very disappointing. While they sync with Google Calendar, it's frustrating that there's no way to see all of your deadlines/tasks/events/etc. in one place. In addition, you end up needing to swap tabs constantly just to see what's coming up.

Also, because there's no "upcoming" list or any way to see your week at a glance, it means you can't really get a sense of what you have to do in terms of your CRM-related tasks.

Lastly, since there's no internal calendar, you can't connect events/deadlines to specific contacts. This means that you can't just click on a contact and see upcoming deadlines or click on an event in Google and see which contact or opportunity it's linked to.

Copper says they don't have a calendar intentionally, since Google is such a strong tool, but I find this not really a great answer, as you can't do tasks or contacts on Google Calendar, PLUS they already have your Gmail visible within the platform. It seems like consolidating the sites you use helps your workflow a ton, so it's strange that they don't have one.

As I work in the events/entertainment industry, this was a dealbreaker for me, unfortunately.

**Recommendations to others considering Copper:**

I would wait for now - their price coupled with their pretty slow support time, minimal/disorganized help-desk articles, and lack of key features means you can definitely get the same product for a lot less money elsewhere.

I would absolutely pay this price if they had better support, calendars, and more straightforward help desk articles.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a lot easier to get a sense of my clients and make connections between them and the work I had to do!

**Official Response from Carrie Shaw:**

> Hi there! Thank you for this review; we do wish we had done better. I wanted to pass on some information direct from our VP of Product. While we aren’t planning to build out our own calendar we are currently working on building deeper and better integration with Google's calendar, including many of the features you are specifically looking for. We expect to release this new functionality in a couple of months. Given that you seem to have read our minds :) we would love to connect with you and get your feedback to see if we’re on the right track.

If you’re open to it drop us an email at product-feedback@copper.com and we’ll set something up!

Additionally, should you want to request more features or learn more about how others are solving these problems with Copper feel free to join our Online User Community at https://community.copper.com.

  ### 9. It's intuitive and easy to use. We are experimenting with the pipeline overview now.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Copper?**

Drag and drop options and pipeline overview

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

It's difficult to keep a good overview of your pipeline if you have a lot going in different areas. Maybe some extra visuals to make it easier.

**Recommendations to others considering Copper:**

None.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of customers.

  ### 10. It's OK

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sporting Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Copper?**

The Gmail widget does a lot to speed up the work.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

Too many features, not all of which are usable, add to the complexity.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Works decent enough to handle our CRM needs.

  ### 11. It Is a Good tool

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Copper?**

how it links and relate to my contacts and email

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

sometimes it does not link to my contactsand emails

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it keeps information central

  ### 12. Decent Sales CRM on Budget.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sunny S. | Enterprise Business - APAC, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Copper?**

Simple, Clean and not too expensive. For starters, it might be a good option, as you scale you might need a better CRM.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

Less than average UI. Not too big on advanced funcationality.

**Recommendations to others considering Copper:**

You might want to explore the alternatives out there, map your requirements to the CRM and them make a decision.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was a basic CRM, and was solving the problem of accountability in the team and keeping track of conversations.

  ### 13. Pretty average beginner CRM

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andi W. | Community Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Copper?**

I like the simplicity of it. For a more basic sales org or starting company, you don't necessarily need to jump into Salesforce. Copper was a good alternative to not over complicate things unnecessarily. I like that it is pretty intuitive for the average user. The design is clean.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

The organization within Copper didn't feel organized. Companies vs People vs Leads vs Opportunities seemed to all crossover and not at all the wrong times. It was harder to create sequences or templates in Copper compared to other CRMs. Automation wasn't as seamless.

**Recommendations to others considering Copper:**

Look into what your main objectives are for a CRM. It offers good options for some functions, but not others. If it accomplishes what you need, great. But if you are needing a more complex high functioning CRM, I would look elsewhere.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's definitely a cheaper alternative if your company isn't quite ready to take the leap into Salesforce or some other bigger, more complex CRM. It solved the job of getting us off our feet and a little more organized.

  ### 14. Just an ok CRM

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Copper?**

-Copper will auto fill contact information sometimes
-I think it's a good option for non tech companies (like real estate

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

-Not complex enough for a sales team
-Cannot customize user experience very much, it's a pretty limiting CRM compared to their competitors
-Experience small bugs that make day to day tasks frustrating
-Less integration options with other applications/tools, so you're often required to set up a webhook, which is limiting if your tech team is busy

**Recommendations to others considering Copper:**

It's a decent option if your sales team is still small, but you'll eventually want to switch to another platform. This is a better fit for teams that aren't in the B2B tech space (like real estate) because it's simple to use and affordable. Lack of integrations make it difficult to automate anything.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

-It's good for account management, at a smaller scale. I wouldn't recommend it for a large sales team (more than 2-3 people) or a team that likes everything to integrate nicely. It is a cheaper option than competitors, and they're nice to small customers

  ### 15. Not as anticipated

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Copper?**

The ability to show all tasks that are due and past due in one place.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

Not able to link my account with my calendar to get the task on there so I do not have to manually enter them

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having all my leads ,people, companies, and task in one location and to be able to access it easily

  ### 16. CRM that Integrates with GSuite

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Copper?**

Integrates really well with Google GSuite. Email, Calendar, Drive.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

The exports are rubbish. A simple export of Companies and People does not allow you to link the two together. After 3 years they still will not add the link field the the two tables at export.

**Recommendations to others considering Copper:**

Carefully check what exports you need if any and get evidence. We were give assurances we would have proper access to our data. A simple export reliably linking Companies to People is not available.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cooper is a great CRM, Sales management tool but we are looking elsewhere more.

  ### 17. Good enough

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan H. | VP of Marketing & Sales , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Copper?**

This is a functional CRM and inexpensive. We have multiple users on one login because our secretary doesn't actually log conversations, nor does our owner.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

If you put a lead in as a person on accident, there is no way to revert the data, only to delete and do manual data entry back in, or export everything, clean your data and then reimport. that one feature would save tons of time

**Recommendations to others considering Copper:**

Make switching someone from a person to a lead possible.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it allows for a diary of use, when I remember to use it.

  ### 18. Poor customer service and program flexibility

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Copper?**

Works well with Gmail and pretty easy to integrate.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

The pricing model is broken. When I joined, I included myself with two others in our company using the tool. I wanted to try integrating UpleadCopper and you need the $50.00 per month program to be able to use the APIs. I can not upgrade alone, but everyone in the program must upgrade to the $50.00 per month.

Trapped.

**Recommendations to others considering Copper:**

Test a few other solutions as well.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contact manager

  ### 19. Average CRM

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Copper?**

Prosperworks is a handy platform since it can sync right with your email without having to BCC anything. It serves its purpose and bring free, there's not much to complain about.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

The software is glitchy and sometimes the page has to be refreshed to load accurately. It also doesn't have as many features as would be useful. It often doesn't sync well with my email.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to keep track of emails within a basic sales pipeline or even a reminder to check in with someone. Keeps my inbox nice and clear without things getting lost.

  ### 20. Great experience with ProsperWorks CRM

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Copper?**

I love that ProsperWorks will let me assign myself a task after I put a lead in so I don't forget to do the follow up with that lead that I need to do.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

I don't really like that I have to put in a certain amount of information before it lets me save each lead, as sometimes I only have a couple piece of info for that lead.

**Recommendations to others considering Copper:**

I do think it's a fantastic CRM but it only works if you do. You have to update it and use it accordingly.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The number one problem it solves for me is follow up with leads, as I find it difficult to remember when or why I'm following up but if I have notes and a reminder, it's easier for me to do.

  ### 21. Not the most effective crm

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew G. | Business Development Representative, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Copper?**

Navigation tools are great, also being able to manage all of your leads in an easy to use calendar that allows you to make great follow up notes

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

I dislike that is easy to lose your place

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None

  ### 22. So close to perfect...

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley S. | Certified Resume, CV & LinkedIn Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2017

**What do you like best about Copper?**

The seamless integration with Gmail, the intuitive functionality that minimized toggling between windows, and programs to work with your information. The modern and streamlined interface...There was alot

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

Relying on Zapier to create functionality for invoicing, accounting and website integration are really not ideal. It sounds great on the surface, till you find out that those integrations don't actually speak the way your business needs them to. Prosperworks would bash it out of the park with more organic resolutions to these very common business needs.

Also, the task entries are a bit cumbersome. The best task management tool is Todoist and I really wish more products would follow their simple and intuitive structure for inputting tasks and controlling work.

**Recommendations to others considering Copper:**

Don't sign up for more than a month at a time or more than what you need. Unfortunately, the flexibility of their platform doesn't seem to extend to their customer support.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seamless integration with gmail to allow me to get control over my contact, turning them into opportunities that I could track and convert to wins.

  ### 23. A good CRM - although a bit pricey

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mitja P. | Creative Director and Founder, Entertainment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2017

**What do you like best about Copper?**

Integration with Google Apps works like a charm. Also, their plugins for Google sheets is great, which allows you to create various reports and charts using GSheets.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

Price is the biggest drawback. Also some minor features missing, which I am sure they'll add soon.

**Recommendations to others considering Copper:**

If the price is ok for you (we still aren't really sure), then it's a great product.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Business opportunities analysis.

  ### 24. Still learning about the features and functions to arrive at best application for my company.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2016

**What do you like best about Copper?**

Tight integration with Gmail and the email received/read notifications.

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

Lack of a click to call function within contacts.

**Recommendations to others considering Copper:**

Try it.

**What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Still working on that. None yet.

  ### 25. So far so Go!

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2016

**What do you like best about Copper?**

Tracking of email and real time dollar amounts on RFQs in the pipeline

**What do you dislike about Copper?**

Can't convert an opportunity to a project and tasks will not show up on google calendar
