What do you like best about CookieYes?

Excellent, very responsive customer service. I ran into an issue where my (free) account ended up being created twice—both in Shopify and on the CookieYes website—which was causing problems. When I reached out, Alex replied promptly and suggested a solution that resolved everything for me. I definitely recommend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CookieYes?

It isn’t very clear which features are available through the Shopify app versus the website. I started with the Shopify app, but I didn’t see any mention of the cookie and privacy policy generator, for example. When I switched to the web version, I ran into a few issues, although customer service resolved them promptly. Overall, clearer onboarding steps in the Shopify app would make the setup process smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CookieYes solving and how is that benefiting you?

GDPR compliance in Europe and the UK isn’t something you can avoid. In particular, keeping track of every cookie on a Shopify store and documenting it properly in the Cookie Policy isn’t realistic to do by hand, so a policy generator is necessary. On top of that, they provide a cookie consent banner with preference options that respect GDPR requirements. And all of this is available in the free version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
