What do you like best about Convene?

Convene for me has tried to solve a very practical problem. It has tried to bring the typical boardroom meeting on a virtual level. Like in a typical boardroom with agendas, presentation, pointers and printed materials, Convene has tried to squeeze all of that in a platform which one can access from anywhere. What do you dislike about Convene?

The main downside, in my view, of products like this—not just Convene, but the entire category—is that you can’t really guarantee your teammates’ attention. Sitting in a room with board members versus attending virtually will never be the same.

Specifically for Convene, I’d say connectivity and lag issues are the biggest hurdles the company still needs to overcome. If your internet connection is a bit unstable, it noticeably affects the overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Convene solving and how is that benefiting you?

Convene tries to bring the boardroom meeting experience to your home or any location. It’s quite different from attending a Zoom/Teams call, and the overall experience feels strongly focused on maximizing productivity. Features that stand out for me include the ability to highlight a point, use a laser pointer, generate a text summary, add markup, and assimilate written notes. It feels more detailed and more honest, which is much needed.

As far as I am concerned, it benefits me greatly when we have an open discussion about new features, or new sprints. Sometime for teams meeting we need to have a meeting minutes to ensure nothing gets missed. But not with Convene. Its literally the best boardroom meeting tool. Just a bit rough around the edges.
