**What do you like best about Contractor Foreman?**

Contractor Foreman has been especially helpful because it brings key parts of project management into one platform—financial tracking, change orders, scheduling, contracts, and documentation. Having everything centralized improves organization, saves time, and helps reduce errors by keeping project information easy to find, accessible, and up to date. It also gives better financial visibility and supports stronger decision-making, which allows Project Managers to work more efficiently and manage projects more effectively overall. I also appreciate the ongoing updates, as well as the customer support and training resources that are available when needed.

**What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?**

The site is constantly updating, which is generally a good thing, but sometimes it happens right while I’m working and it can be a bit disruptive.

**What problems is Contractor Foreman solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Change Order section is much better now, and the updates in the financial area are genuinely helpful. I also appreciate the new AI tool, which makes it easier for me to review the project’s overall health.

We’ve been using Foreman Software for our construction projects and it has significantly improved communication and project tracking between the office and field teams. The interface is user-friendly, making it easy for supervisors, contractors, and crew members to update progress, share photos, manage tasks, and stay on schedule in real time.

One of the best features is the ability to track daily reports, RFIs, and site updates all in one place. It has reduced miscommunication and helped keep projects more organized and efficient. The mobile accessibility is also extremely helpful for field teams working on-site.

Customer support has been responsive whenever we’ve had questions, and the software continues to improve with updates. I really like that Contractor Foreman is an all-in-one system for construction management. It has good estimating and job tracking tools, and it integrates with QuickBooks, which makes it very convenient for us. I also appreciate the ability to customize it to our company's needs, and the cost tracking and job tracking features. Once an estimate is approved, it goes into a project stage where we can track our expenses and see what's going on day-to-day with the project.

I really think the biggest con with Contractor Foreman is it does take some time to fully learn. There is a ton of features on there. It took me a couple months just to learn the ins and the outs of Contractor Foreman. I won't lie. It was pretty difficult. It definitely takes a learning curve.

**What do you like best about Contractor Foreman?**

I like how Contractor Foreman simplifies project management by allowing us to input lead information, create estimates, and track the entire project with ease. I appreciate the estimate approval feature for creating projects and the daily updates from logs and documentation that make tracking projects easier from top to bottom. The cohesion between daily logs, project files, and the client portal is something I personally like, as it makes updating clients in real time convenient. I also find it extremely easy to detail efforts for change orders or damage repair, and getting paid is hassle-free. The training courses provided are a great resource, and after setting up the cost item database and financial integration, using the system has become very easy.

**What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?**

The user interface gets better every update, but it still needs some work. Such as the todo section for projects. There should be a section within the project that shows the todos, rather than the other way around. Sometimes there isn't cohesion between the sections like there should. It was difficult to find how our company could utilize all of the features.

I find Contractor Foreman makes project tracking easier from top to bottom by automating lead management, project estimation, and daily updates. It simplifies change order pricing and has a seamless client update feature, easing communication.

Timecards can be painful in rural areas where cell signal is limited. An option to download all app data to your phone would be really nice.

We don't use Contractor Foreman's time card system because it doesn't integrate with the payroll company we use, so I have to enter everything individually, which is a little frustrating. Also, figuring out how to put prevailing wage in isn't the easiest.

I love the easy to use platform. I love the amount of detail that I am able to include in our Estimates - we have won jobs because people appreciated the layout and detail we were able to provide. The cost/value is wonderful  and the support is great. I have had to connect with someone on chat many times and everyone is always kind and helpful.  Our clients love the client login. There are many features we don't utilize enough but I look forward to doing so in the future. They also always seem open to feedback, I highly recommend CF! They have helped us grow immensely in the last few years :)

We are based in Canada, where different products are taxed differently (e.g., subcontractors are GST only, while supplies are GST & PST). It would be extremely helpful to apply taxes on a line-by-line basis, as this would save a great deal of time.

We would also love to see a take-off tool added.

Additionally, it would be great to have more in-depth cost code analysis — for example, the ability to view the total cost of all items I’ve labeled as “lumber package” across invoices.

None of these are deal breakers for the cost/value benefit of having CF and are things that they could/may add in the future :)

The live chat and training resources were incredibly helpful during setup and onboarding. Having access to responsive support at any time has made a big difference.  We appreciate the ability to access the platform via Wi-Fi, use the mobile app, and take advantage of built-in camera features. The auto-saving functionality also helped prevent data loss during fieldwork.

I like Contractor Foreman's easy learning curve as well as the cost.  I have to have AIA billing capability, and this is a great alternative to the pricey products out there.  I have several contractors who only work on one or two projects at a time, as well as a couple of contractors who have 20-25 projects running at any given time and this was perfect for them.  I have never used Contractor Foreman for clients with more than 25 projects going at a time, so am not certain how it would do under those circumstances.

**What do you like best about Contractor Foreman?**

Contractor Foreman has been a great value added program for our business. The large variety of modules/features allows us to use CF in a variety of ways for both our office and field staff. The user interface is intuitive and easy to learn. When we were researching other products, we could not find anything else that provided as much value for the (relatively) low cost. We have been on the platform for 3 years and are happy overall.

**What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?**

No software is perfect for every business, but this check most of the boxes we need at a fraction of the cost. If you have a service business, it doesn't do a great job of this. It has a module that works, but it's not the best out there.

**What do you like best about Contractor Foreman?**

Estimating through to project is seamless. CF copies all data from the estimate into a schedule of values really well.
All data stored in one place and not on shared drives or phones or spreadsheets

**What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?**

It would be nice for the estimating phase to have the RFIs section open as at tender stage we do need this functionality. Stock management could be improved to link deliveries and usage on daily logs to an actual inventory

**What problems is Contractor Foreman solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a surface finishing contractor. We use CF for its enhanced project management capabilities. From pricing a job and issuing estimates to our operatives on the ground filling in timesheets and submitting inspections of works. We like the fact that we only need one system now and everything raised for a project remains in the project files for ease of looking back on it later. I would recommend anyone to use this program.

**What do you like best about Contractor Foreman?**

I like that is is very easy to input all kinds of data that needs to be tracked from bills to invoices to payments. All of these areas are easy to input and they have a very fast responsive chat and call center. It was very easy to get started inputting data from our previous system and was even easier to use. We use it daily to keep track of operations. It is a very useful platform that I would recommend to anyone.

**What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?**

Not really much to dislike about the platform but I would like to see more clear instructions about cost codes and how they can be made available in different areas such as time sheets.

**What problems is Contractor Foreman solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us keep track of payments, bills, requisitions, purchase orders, change orders and project documents. It is great that we have everything in one platform and is even organized by project. Saves us a lot of time having to search for different documents.

They're adding Xero as an option to integrate with which is good because we're moving from Quickbooks to Xero.

The change order process is fast and organized, and the client portal is a great way to streamline communication. Once you get the hang of it, it saves serious time.

The mobile app still has a long way to go — it’s missing some key functionality and can be clunky in the field. Navigation isn’t always intuitive, and new users often need more hand-holding than expected. Support is generally helpful but can be slow when you really need quick answers.
