Though the trainers do well covering the basics, I ran into language barriers with the trainers when I had specific questions I was trying to answer. The uniformity between the modules allowed us to ramp up quickly, with only the most technologically challenged members of our team struggling at all. Definitely less complicated than any of the other systems I have used, even with more features than we will probably ever use. The constant development is a plus, as they are continuously tweaking and adding features and functionality. his is a live, fully supported product. I have had occassion to reach out to the support team, and they have been quick to respond to any issues via the live chat, and will not hesitate to escalate the issue if need be. **What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?** Contractor Foreman does not allow you to have more than one active estimate on a project. While this may not affect a smaller contractor, it complicates things for us. I have been assured that this feature is in development. Deleting and archiving items is cumbersome as well. I was recently working on a rather complex estimate, and needed to delete a number of items, but I had to individually delete and confirm each item. This was tedious, and the only alternative was to delete the entire estimate and start over. Whereas before, the system I used for tracking did not grasp all information to easily pull reports for Project Cost. This is very important when Estimating a new project to make sure you're staying within cost and not going over. **What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?** I do wish Contractor Foreman had a way to upload invoice attachments that were not viewable to employees in the field. It's not an option under Roles. If given access to Files and Photos..they will see all attachments that have had anything to do with the Project. Field Employees do not need to be able to see payables. There should be a way to import Purchase Order items. Depending on the company..like us, we have a piping Vendor that we sometimes have over 200line items we have to track. Right now, you can only manually enter all 200 line items. Lastly, with a project management system where alot of project invoices come in, it would be an amazing feature to have a Invoice queue. Where you import/scan in multiple images of invoices (kept seperate images, and to key each one) Whether it had an approval process and you could send to other members in the company to approve..or just a way to import several at once to work on vs one at a time, hitting save, hitting back, to hit a new Bill. **What problems is Contractor Foreman solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tracking my projects. Time hitting the projects, the material cost hitting the projects and making sure my employees aren't going over certain budget numbers or that tells me where I need to charge more on my Estimate for that particular Cost Item. No one wants to be billed for something that they do not want. That is why we send a reminder after you signup and again 8 days before the trial ends reminding you to cancel to avoid being charged. After the trial ends, we do charge our customers based on the refund policy that you agreed to before your account was able to be created. We check in our in house crews daily. I like to mark up the approvals daily to reflect progress. We add a pdf estimate to the files and photos and edit them frequently; however, Contractor Foreman automatically creates a new estimate every time I mark up the document. I enjoy that users can add suggestions to improve the system so that you have something new to look forward to each month. **What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?** Now that Contactor Foreman is becoming more popular, support times have increased, but nonetheless, help is still there. Another downside is if the system crashes or a particular module/feature stops working; notifications are not sent out to users. When you notify support, the response is delayed and so is the solution. Everything links together seamlessly, and it didn't take much time to figure out. **What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?** There are some features that I don't like, 1 being the calendar feature. When you put things in there, they don't save and automatically change the times you set for them. Also, I don't like how you have to make a unique project ID for every project. that should be an option. We as a company, just like to have things under a customer's name and address. The unique project ID throws us off having to come up with something every time. We were also talking about how much more it would help if this program integrated with dropbox and or company cam in the future (i know that's not an easy feat having to deal with a separate company), but it would be helpful or update your photo section to be comparable to those of drop box or company cam where we can upload photos and pull photos to a link to email to insurance etc. send DocuSign based on pre-written documents we have. **What problems is Contractor Foreman solving and how is that benefiting you?** Been a lot easier to keep track of projects and stay on time with the many different steps through out the project. It makes it hard for someone without lots of training to do basic things. Examples: Service ticket menu item cannot be found Cost codes don't easily sync with a receipt bank like dext Invoicing has to go through schedule of values, after you create a project from your estimate if you want to bill absolute percentages of projects. I still can't figure out how to schedule a job in CF. we've used Fastrack software for a while. I previously used Procore and could not afford the high price when I started my own company. That is how I found Contractor Foreman. Contractor Foreman has as much functionality as Procore at a fraction of the cost. I even think it is more user-friendly, and I like that my customers can digitally sign approvals through their interface. The customer portal is a great feature as well. Their customer service has been outstanding. My contractors refused to use it. So when I decided to invoke their 100-day guarantee, I asked them how to invoke it. They cancel my account and then refused the guarantee on the basis of some crazy technicality. I had to have free training within 30 days of starting the program as well as within 30 days of invoking the cancellation. I had done only the former but not the latter. If they are truly a customer-responsive company, they would have informed me of the same, given my training and then let me cancel. But nope none of that. On top of that they have a crazy CEO who takes offense at the smallest thing and a customer service rep who threatened a law suit if I leave a bad review. CF allows you to customize almost every model to cater to your business, regardless of size. The team at CF is more responsive than any other software we have used. You can have a live chat with a real person in seconds if you are having a difficult time figuring something else. **What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?** Its slightly buggy, but not a big deal. Occasionally I will run into a problem where the software is giving me inaccurate information. I report the bug and it is fixed. It's never a major problem. For example I wanted all of our dates to be formatted as month/date/year, but the software was publishing dates as date/month/year. I reported it and it was fixed in less than 24 hours.
