And it is SO easy to use! Seriously it is the most user-friendly CMS I have ever used. The options are endless when setting up modules and designing the site to be exactly how you want it to be. Contentful allows me to create any webpage I want. There are tons of ways to build each type of webpage. The great thing is that even if you're going to develop two different types of pages, you can reuse modules between pages, which cuts down on a lot of time needed to work on them! **What do you dislike about Contentful?** A lot of the customization needs to be built by your dev team. This is not a platform like Magento where a lot of customization comes out of the box. Even things like font sizes have to be built out by the dev team. This is entirely understandable, but it does mean that your team will have to build in longer lead times when considering new web pages or features. **Recommendations to others considering Contentful:** I would recommend that others make a list of their goals and challenges with their current CMS platform. I think it would be helpful to see a few case studies of companies that have used Contentful. Take your goals and challenges list and see if they align with what Contentful offers. **What problems is Contentful solving and how is that benefiting you?** Solving the problem of needing an easy to use CMS that can be used every day for general website maintenance. The biggest benefit is definitely that it is so user friendly so it is easy to teach it to new employees. It is very quick and simple to update content that immediately changes on the site. This was super important to me as I had to update our site pretty much every day! ### 2. We're a non-technical organisation with staff having a wide range of experience levels and comfort regarding using technology so the ease-of-use and friendliness of Contentful's UI has been great. From a dev perspective having such flexible GraphQL/REST access to the data to pipe into multiple mediums is great. **What do you dislike about Contentful?** Only missing feature I can think of is the ability to batch webhook requests. So no matter how many updates are made in [window of time] only one webhook request will be fired. Would save a lot of build minutes when it comes to static site rebuilding. **What problems is Contentful solving and how is that benefiting you?** Separating our content and content-editing concerns from our presentational concerns has been a huge advantage. The team responsible for managing the data can operate separately from the team responsible for development, and multiple methods can be used to present that data to our organization's clients. We work with vulnerable people and not all are comfortable with using the internet to receive information, so we're able to present the same data using automatically generated leaflets and digital signage in our waiting rooms for the rest. ### 4. Tools are always up to date to keep up on new updates from frameworks and libs. The Rich text editor is one of my favourite features from customising the content to referencing other Components. I dont think any other CMS does that. Creating your own plugins is another great way of building a more bespoke feature for your needs in the dashboard. The new Compose tool is well designed when it comes to creating new content. **What do you dislike about Contentful?** Content-type cap restriction could be improved. 48 is pretty low for even paid members. **What problems is Contentful solving and how is that benefiting you?** To make life easier for content editors when it comes to managing the content on the go. No way to conditionalize text for different versions. Single sourcing (write once, publish anywhere) is not so great. UI is a little laggy at times. The tool provides a power open API integration that enables you to connect with any third app. The tool also have draft and editing option available for posted and scheduled content. There is no preview option available for your contents. Third party plugins like spell checker are not very efficient.
