  ### 1. Great Integration with Outlook Distribution Lists

**What do you like best about ContactMonkey?**

ContactMonkey integrates with my internal distribution lists that are created on the fly via our HR data so it's up-to-the-minute accurate. I was spending so much time adding new hires, removing termed employees and correcting departments and titles when there were promotions. With ContactMonkey I'm able to use the Outlook lists and I get metrics that break down by individuals' response to the emails. I was skeptical that it could work but it has and I'm ecstatic. The account team has been amazing. Our account rep was so helpful in getting the tool added to our system (talking with IT, continuing to check in on readiness, etc.) and was amazing in getting us trained on the product. He set up regular, short check ins at the time we'd need the information vs. dumping a whole training on us out of the gate. He's been awesome and a critical component to our success.

**What do you dislike about ContactMonkey?**

We've had a few issues (emails sending more than once, preheaders falling off, issues with font substitution). I think some could be related to upgrades in MS Outlook but still have had a few incidents that have been tough to pinpoint why.

**What problems is ContactMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's reduced the amount of time I was spending to manage mailing lists in Outlook and MailChimp. I let IT manage the lists via automated lists they've built for us (drawing on HR data) and focus on writing and strategy around the campaigns.

**What do you like best about ContactMonkey?**

I really like how easy ContactMonkey makes it to design and edit emails, especially when using templates. The interface is intuitive, so I don’t have to spend a lot of time figuring things out. Customer support has also been very responsive and helpful whenever I’ve had questions.

**What do you dislike about ContactMonkey?**

One thing that could be better is the sending process. Right now, designing emails on the website and then importing them into Outlook to send feels a bit clunky. It would be much more convenient if there were an option to edit emails directly from Outlook 

**What problems is ContactMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tool lets me notify all my stakeholders of the business updates and due to its simple and easy to use interface, designing emails looks fun as well as professional. It also shows a detailed analysis of the email metrics that helps me see user engagement with different topics.

We totally understand the frustration here. It might be helpful to know that the reason editing happens in the web app rather than directly in Outlook comes down to the limitations of Microsoft's add-in framework. It's optimized for sending and managing emails, but doesn't support the level of control our builder provides for designing templated HTML emails.

That said, feedback like yours genuinely helps shape where we take the product next. If you'd ever like to submit a feature request, you can do so through Canny or directly with your CSM.

**What do you like best about ContactMonkey?**

The tech support provided by ContactMonkey were super helpful. I had issues initially sending out my campaigns and the support was great. We had a one to one call and talked through the solutions. I feel like this helped me get to know the product better and use it to its fullest potential.

**What do you dislike about ContactMonkey?**

There's little that I dislike on ContactMonkey. I would like to be able to add dividers vertically as well as horizontal when creating emails as we use it for a newsletter.

**What problems is ContactMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to be able to use the analytics that ContactMonkey provides. We send out internal communications with it and it's great to see users interacting with the comms. It also allows users to click links and read into our comms further.

**What do you like best about ContactMonkey?**

Our experience with Contact Monkey has been exceptional from the start! From the user-friendly design platform to robust analytics and powerful integrations, we've gotten so much value from this partnership. We have a fantastic customer success manager in Shane, who is so helpful and responsive, and so appreciate the outstanding Tech Support team for their speedy replies when we do experience a issue... Not to mention, our ability to test out enhancements and provide feedback with the goal of making them better for everyone! End to end, an outstanding experience.

**What do you dislike about ContactMonkey?**

Bullet point formatting when we import messages into Outlook 😊. In all seriousness, the code translation isn't always perfect, but we understand and usually have the end result we set out to achieve!

**What problems is ContactMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides the creativity, collaboration and engagement analytics that you don't find in other platforms. Now, with our integration with Workday, along with the upcoming Audience Preview feature, we have even more power to segment and target the right audience with the right message at the right time.

**What do you like best about ContactMonkey?**

Overall the platform is really easy to use for creating templates that bring your brand to life, they are always bringing out new features to make creation easier. Small features like AI suggested headings and summaries are a time saver.

**What do you dislike about ContactMonkey?**

Still big limitations if you are a Google customer. Everything seems to be designed for Microsoft first. Even if new features are Google compatible, it is a while before they are available to you and you feel like a poor relative in comparison to Microsoft customers.

**What problems is ContactMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us to create really engaging and visually appealing newsletters. Using this we can reach all employees directly and direct traffic back to our intranet.

They have a new AI software that provides an extra layer of editorial checking, making our review process much easier

**What do you dislike about ContactMonkey?**

Occasionally we run into issues with our sends, but their support team is very responsive and we get things resolved quickly. 

**What problems is ContactMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building professional emails for our internal communications and being able to provide analytics into how our audience is engaging with our comms.

**What do you like best about ContactMonkey?**

ContactMonkey continuously keeps up with trends ensuring that we have the best set of tools to help do our job effectively. 

**What do you dislike about ContactMonkey?**

I still dislike not being able to attach a document to an important email we have to send companywide. I also wish we could edit emails after they go out - even it was like only available within 30 minutes of a send. 

**What problems is ContactMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ContactMonkey has provided us with the metrics we've been seeking for so long. Seeing where each email stands, espeically the read rate, really offers us the opportunity to dive into how we can make the next email even more engaging.

> Thanks for sharing this. Both points are things we hear often from communicators sending high-stakes content who want more control over what goes out.

On post-send editing: it's worth knowing this is actually a limitation of email as a medium, not something specific to ContactMonkey. Once an email is delivered to someone's inbox, no email service provider can modify it. That said, we do offer a few ways to catch and correct issues as close to send as possible:

- Edit links after sending, which covers the most common scenario where something needs a quick fix: https://help.contactmonkey.com/hc/en-us/articles/36123274891277
- Enable Deferred Sending to create a window between triggering a send and the email actually going out, giving you time to catch anything that needs correcting: https://help.contactmonkey.com/hc/en-us/articles/40679658129165

It's also worth exploring ConfidenceCheck if you haven't already. It scans your email before sending and flags broken links, accessibility issues, typos, and other common errors, so you can fix problems in the editor rather than after the fact. For companywide sends especially, it's a really useful layer of protection.

On document attachments: good news here. We're actively working on native attachment support for Email at Scale users, and we'll share more details with customers shortly.

I can upload a complete list of participants to distribute the report, and the system will track real-time engagement metrics.

- Inserting images: When uploading images, they must be saved with unique filenames; otherwise, they may not be replaced correctly.

I like the scheduling option and seeing the calendar view

**What do you dislike about ContactMonkey?**

I would like the option to search for a keyword, and CM pulls up results of emails that contain the keyword(s), so I can better find past announcements.

**What problems is ContactMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A cleaner, branded look that is consistent when distributing information to employees.

**What do you like best about ContactMonkey?**

Integrations make sending emails so simple, along with the templates and being able to update, preview, and add in almost anything you need directly to the email/communication.

**What do you dislike about ContactMonkey?**

I have yet to run into anything I dislike while using CM.

**What problems is ContactMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated communications - various notifications going out to various groups seemlessly.
