I was skeptical at first, but Contabo has really given me timely support, and their servers have never glitched or caused any issues for me. That said, they do get hacked instantly, so you need to set up security on a new machine right away. I’ve automated that part with a bash script, so for me it’s been the best deal out there.

It doesn’t come with built-in security for SSH, such as fail2ban, and it also doesn’t include a custom user setup with the root user locked down. I’d also prefer a random SSH port instead of the common default port. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
