  ### 1. Simple Contact Management for Short Campaigns

**What do you like best about Constant Contact?**

What I like best about Constant Contact is that it handles the core email marketing work pretty well without making everything feel like a big project. Building campaigns, managing lists, using templates, and getting emails out the door are all straightforward enough that non-technical users can usually work in it without needing IT to sit beside them the whole time. 

It’s also reasonably priced for what it is, especially compared with some platforms that start simple and then get expensive the second you need normal business features. Constant Contact also offers prepay savings, including nonprofit discounts, which is helpful for organizations that have to be careful with their budget.

The support side is another plus. I like that phone support is still available, because many SaaS tools have pushed everyone into chatbots, forums, or help articles. Constant Contact isn’t perfect, but when there’s an account, billing, or campaign issue, being able to talk to an actual person makes cleanup a lot easier.

**What do you dislike about Constant Contact?**

The biggest frustration for me has been account and subaccount administration. Constant Contact works fine once people are in and using it, but the setup can get a little confusing when you’re supporting multiple teams, departments, or locations under one broader organization.

The ownership model is the part that feels a bit awkward from an IT operations standpoint. Constant Contact does have user roles like Account Manager and Campaign Creator, which are helpful, but the Account Owner still seems to be the control point for billing, ownership, and higher-level account management. That can make it harder to build a clean structure where a central admin team has oversight while each team still has the right level of access to manage its own campaigns.

The recovery process is also something I’d like to see improved. If the original account owner leaves the company, you may have to involve support to transfer or recover ownership. To be fair, that’s not uncommon with SaaS tools, and there are security reasons for it. But from an admin perspective, it creates additional risk and cleanup work that could be avoided with stronger centralized admin controls.

**What problems is Constant Contact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Constant Contact solves a pretty straightforward problem for us: we need one place to store and manage contacts, then use those contacts for periodic campaigns without having to reinvent the wheel every time.

For our use case, the benefit is that contacts can be organized into lists or segments, and then we can quickly build a short-lived campaign when we need to communicate with a specific audience. That might be a seasonal message, a one-off update, or a focused campaign that only runs for a limited period. Constant Contact makes that kind of work easier because the contact management, templates, sending, and basic reporting are all in one place.

The biggest benefit is time savings. Instead of exporting lists, formatting emails manually, or pulling in extra tools just to send something clean and trackable, we can use Constant Contact as the central place to manage the send.

**What do you like best about Constant Contact?**

What I like most about Constant Contact is the flexibility. I can create almost any email template I need, including custom designs using HTML/CSS coding, and instantly see the changes in real time. I also really appreciate the reporting dashboard because it provides detailed insights into email performance, engagement, and audience behavior after each send.

**What do you dislike about Constant Contact?**

What I do not like is that sometimes the final email does not fully match the preview version. Fonts and formatting can appear differently once the email is delivered, which can make design consistency challenging.

**What problems is Constant Contact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Constant Contact is helping us streamline and improve our email communications. We use it to create and send email campaigns to families, donors, and community members in a more organized and professional way. It also helps us track engagement through open rates, clicks, and other reporting metrics, which allows us to better understand our audience and improve future communications.

  ### 3. Good Email Designer and Easy Send Flow, but a Workflow Frustration

**What do you like best about Constant Contact?**

The designer is pretty good, and I think the flow from making an email to sending it out is fairly easy.

**What do you dislike about Constant Contact?**

The major thing that I wanted to bring to Constant Contact's attention this time is what really frustrates me in my workflow. If I create a new list and upload contacts, it asks me again what list I want to upload the contacts to, and I have to re-write/find the list I'm already in. Who thought this was a good idea? It's literally double the work. I'm already in the list; why should I have to reclarify that I want to upload emails to that list?

**What problems is Constant Contact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Honestly, right now, I don't care for most of the updates Constant Contact is making. The new sidebar on the right-hand side of the designer I constantly have to close because it's taking up space. The fact that I have to reclarify which list I'm uploading to. I'd rather you all work on the designer, maybe allow us to add more to our brand, like fonts, so when we make a new email, it has all our company-branded stuff as the defaults.

**What do you like best about Constant Contact?**

It is a clean application to create newsletters, automated emails and such for businesses and nonprofits. It easily integrates with websites for lead gen as well as building your "list". It also provides good analytics regarding open rate as well as sanitizing your list. Cost wise it is a affordable option for both small and large organizations. It has A/B testing to test the performance of a specific layout to be able refine what works best and has a better open rate. It has a drag and drop layout that makes it easy for even nontechnical people to use while also having the capabilty to code your own emails in html if you desire.

**What do you dislike about Constant Contact?**

The one thing that is a little inconvenient is the ability to automatically send emails when a blog post is written requires a rss feed addon as it does not come as a natural connection between the website and Constant Contact.

**What problems is Constant Contact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used other newsletter options and Constant Contact provides the easiest platform where we can create templates to be repurposed, allow clients to manage their own contacts, and set up automated emails on a schedule without concerns of it being too complex to work with while still providing the performance we have grown to expect.

I like that it has been pretty easy to use. I feel confident in its ability to accruatly send messages to people. I like teh colors of the page. I like how yoy can star certain lists

I think there is alot of tabs on the side that sometimes its confusing. i also wish there was some setting you could turn on that would show you who eduted what like which user. I also wish it could tell youn like "you havent used this lisr in 6 moinths do you want to delete it" I also feel like adding contacts is not as smooth as it could e I am always clicking around and I eel like eerytime it shows stuff up ina  difffeent way

It si helping me to be abel to send mas emails to people and know whether oro not they hace unscirbcirbed. I WISH that SMS messaging was free because why does it cost extra to send peopel texts like how does that amke sense

I like how Constant Contact isn't just a platform that we use to communicate to customers and about our brand, they provide so many tools and resources on how to improve marketing and branding within our business. I do think there are lots of helpful templates to help create certain projects. Definitely will recommend to others. I also appreciate the educational webinars, great to see multiple perspectives

**What do you dislike about Constant Contact?**

I think the only thing we had struggled is the HTML format when designing. It isn't a huge problem but there seems to be a little more work to appropriately design a campaign. And i saw canva is now integrated which honestly improves this issue

**What problems is Constant Contact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Constant contact is helping us use a reliable platform where we can communicate with our customers as well as create automations and more of a organized flow for campaigns, surveys, and any offers. this is the main hub we use to communicate with clients and provide offers

**What do you like best about Constant Contact?**

I like that I can go back to previous emails I've sent and duplicate and change the information or be able to look back and see what I have done and go from there. Saves me time from having to recreate the same things over and over.

Pricing seems fair and the software is easy for first time users to master.

**What do you dislike about Constant Contact?**

I dislike how when I am editing an email it won't let me copy and paste items easily. I have to log out of the website then re-log in to be able to copy and paste.  Also sometimes the moving of the email parts doesn't always function well and is hard to get to where I would like them.

The spell check & grammar feature also could use some work. It doesn't always show until it is too late.

**What problems is Constant Contact solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It serves as our email communication software for our church. It  allows us to send mass emails to several people at once.

**What do you like best about Constant Contact?**

I appreciate how Constant Contact makes it very easy to segment audiences and provides the data to see how our emails are performing. I really like the stats, especially being able to see the open and click rates, which are super valuable for assessing how our emails are doing and if changes are needed. The simpler and more user-friendly system compared to Sendgrid is a big plus, and though it took a few weeks to get the hang of everything, the setup was very smooth.

**What do you dislike about Constant Contact?**

Sometimes the system is a little slow. It can take a while to schedule or update an email. Sometimes it just takes a while to load or schedule the email send. I don't think it's a huge problem or needs to be fixed, but it can sometimes be slow.

I find Constant Contact makes it easy to segment audiences and provides valuable stats like open and click rates, helping us evaluate and adjust our email campaigns effectively.

**What do you like best about Constant Contact?**

I like the reporting part of Constant Contact, how you can send out the emails and marketing campaigns, and you can see the click rate and how well that it's doing and how many people are clicking on it and responding to the emails, and how they're interacting with it. I like how you can look at the email performance and how it's doing compared to other campaigns. The setup was easy, and it's user-friendly. It works well for our organization, and that's why we have continued to use it. I would definitely recommend it because it has good capabilities and it's user-friendly. There are different capabilities that you can use, whether it's emails, text messaging, socials, or events, making it broad for anyone.

**What do you dislike about Constant Contact?**

There's nothing that I currently dislike about Constant Contact. I currently like its capabilities

I use Constant Contact for sending out marketing campaigns and scheduling emails. It solves the problem of sending individual emails by combining them easily, and the reporting features help us track performance and improve organizational strategy.
