We are able to document different parts of the business like our private wiki when I onboarded in my company this tool made all the knowledge centralized and I was able to learn quickly

Maybe when we need to share the files with customers we need to download the data as a pdf maybe if we could share and let guests to read and edit with certain permissions would be good

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

What I like best about Confluence is how it centralizes all our team knowledge in one place. It makes it really easy to create, organize, and find documentation without digging through emails or multiple tools. The collaboration features, like real-time editing and comments, also make it simple for teams to work together and keep information up to date.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

One thing I dislike about Confluence is that it can get a bit messy as content grows. If pages and spaces aren’t well organized, it becomes harder to find information over time. The search function works, but it’s not always as precise as I’d like.

Also, some formatting and layout options feel a bit limited compared to more modern editors, and customizing pages exactly the way you want can take some trial and error. It’s a strong tool overall, but there’s definitely room for improvement in usability and structure as your content scales.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence helps us solve the problem of scattered information and lack of clear documentation. Before using it, a lot of knowledge was stored in emails, chat messages, or different tools, which made it hard to find reliable and up-to-date information.

With Confluence, everything is centralized in one place, so it’s much easier to document processes, share knowledge, and keep information organized. This has reduced the need to repeatedly ask the same questions and has made onboarding new team members smoother.

Overall, it saves time, improves collaboration, and ensures everyone has access to the information they need when they need it.

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

I like the ease of use of Confluence and its strong integration with Jira. The numerous customization features offered greatly enhance my experience. I can create a document, share it, and add editors within the document during drafting, which improves collaboration. Sharing it directly in workspaces or Jira tickets makes everything more aligned. I find it quite simple to set it up initially, it requires admin configuration, but then the configurations for one's own workspaces are very simple.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Managing tables and modifying their contents is more complex than a simple spreadsheet.

Confluence centralizes and facilitates access to technical and product documentation in my team, improving collaboration. The ease of use, integration with Jira, and customization options make everyone more aligned.

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

I love this platform specifically for its whiteboard integration that allows visual representation providing more illustration to the teams. Workflows can be charted out with ease using this platform. The commendable part about this platform is its powerful Atlassian Ecosystem that interlinks smoothly and increase the robustness of this platform. It is also worth mentioning that the platform have a user friendly interface which is really comfortable for users. I also feel a bit relax while work with its game that is integrated into the system. It brings the focus back after getting a bit relax with the in built racing game after a prolong work.

I love most part of this platform but I have to admit that the user needs to  understand the system thoroughly to utilize the full potential of the platform. Proper and timely maintenance of the documents is required in this platform.

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

What I like about Confluence is its clean and user-friendly UI with smooth performance. Creating blogs or documentation is very easy and intuitive. I can add images, format content, change font sizes, and structure documents neatly without any complexity. the editor feels flexible and powerful, which makes document look well organized and professional.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

What I dislike about Confluence is that sometimes it feels slow. When I open a document and try to edit it, it can take time to load properly. Due to this lag, some changes may not get saved if the page hasn't fully loaded, and I have to redo my work. This can be frustrating at times. Other than this performance issue, everything else about Confluence is good.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem Confluence is solving and how it benefits me is that it helps centralize and manage all company documentation in one place with proper structure and version control. in my company we use confluence to create and maintain important documents like company policies Whenever there is a change in policy (for example, a data retention policy), I can easily update the document. The best part is that Confluence maintains a complete version history. so I can easily check what changes were made earlier and revert or review them if needed. Confluence also provides a powerful document editor with many features for creating and editing documents. It supports formatting, structured content, images, tables, and more, which gives everything needed to create professional policy documents. As a backend developer, I also use Confluence extensively for API documentation and system design documentation. We need to document new system designs, API payloads, and workflows and share them with the entire team. Confluence makes this easy by allowing us to keep everything in one shared place, ensuring all team members are aligned. Another big benefit is collaboration and discussion. If there is any issue or improvement needed in a document, a team member can comment, request an update, and discuss changes directly on the page. this helps us keep documents accurate and up-to-date. We also publish some of our API documentation using Confluence so it can be easily accessed by relevant users.

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

I particularly like the flexibility that Confluence offers in creating pages. There are many features, add-ons, and plug-ins that can be integrated, allowing the pages to be organized and customized according to current needs. I find these powerful features great. Additionally, it is helpful that I can structure content well through pages and subpages, which is super helpful for organizing everything smartly and quickly finding the relevant things. Confluence is really helpful for documenting knowledge, such as guides to specific tools or processes that are relevant internally for us.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

What sometimes bothers me are the smart links that simply don't work with some links. Sometimes, instead of a smart link, only a normal link is inserted, and I can't understand why that happens. Additionally, I find it annoying that I can't set the font sizes directly. I can only manipulate them through the different formats, which I don't understand for such a flexible tool. The formatting functions could definitely be improved.

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

I really appreciate how easy Confluence is to use. I find it very helpful that it is closely linked with JIRA and other Atlassian products. I like using Rovo AI as it really helps write Confluence docs, especially for summarizing and reading large documents quickly. The safe and secure file sharing capabilities within the organization give me peace of mind. I also enjoy the detailed insights like views, clicks, unique viewers, and graphs that Confluence provides. The version history feature is another helpful aspect, as it allows us to roll back or see version changes side by side. Overall, Confluence being a secure, ad-free product within the ecosystem is a big plus for me.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Rovo AI can be improved. We can have better models or maybe the option to choose models based on coding, research etc. We can have something to create images or flowcharts easily making least errors. The editor can be made more user-friendly. Like I told, we can have the option to add diagrams, flowcharts etc, generate them properly using data and prompts. Also few basic options like point style, or some font editing options are quite hidden and we need to click on the options to expand and find. The bar can be expanded and more options can be provided.

Confluence helps me access old documents, share manuals securely, and collaborate. It's linked with JIRA, which is helpful. Detailed insights, version history, and Rovo AI make it efficient for document management and understanding project issues.

I really like Confluence for its great UI and how well-organized everything is. It makes data management easy. The layout is pretty intuitive and it gives me a good experience of visualizing and interacting with the information and data I put on there. This helps me stay organized and think clearly about my work.

I wish there was some sort of offline access if there is no internet connection. Being able to use it from the browser or on the mobile app offline would be great.

Confluence is a software that we use mainly for deciding the policies of the company. This software also enables us to work together as a team and take important notes from the meeting that is being conducted for each and every employee of the company. It works like an digital notebook where everyone can give their inputs and write important notes and learning from the group discussions.

Confluence is a very smart tool and at the same time it is complex for new users. It has range of business management tools and operation handling systems. One of the main challenge while working with this software was that whenever I tried searching for old files and folders it always got messy and took a lot of time and this is something on which they need to work on

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

When working on a product, it is very important to manage all information in one place. For my team, Confluence plays a very important role in our day-to-day product activities and tracking. It helps us keep everything organized and easy to access.

Team members can easily collaborate, create, and edit content based on their roles. The version history feature helps us track changes and see who updated the document, which keeps everything transparent.

It also integrates well with third-party apps like JIRA. We can directly add JIRA tickets to a Confluence page and check the real-time status without switching tools again and again.

Our team uses Spaces, Pages, and Templates for different activities and events. The new AI features like summary, smart search, and auto text generation are very helpful and save a lot of time for the team.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

While using Confluence to manage product information, we face a few challenges. In large product teams, it becomes difficult to manage multiple spaces and a large user base, which can make the structure messy over time. Managing permissions and keeping content well organized requires continuous effort. Additionally, some important features depend on paid plugins, which increases the overall cost and maintenance effort.

Confluence solves many key problems for our team. Major problem is to track similar information on JIRA stories(Requirement of product) and confluence page . Confluence helped this with a easy integration of JIRA to confluence and vice versa. Also need to manage different type of information which includes diagram, flowchart, text were well handled by inbuilt template feature. Most of the developers are not a good technical writer so with the help of AI features like auto content generation, spell checker and summarization help team to add rich contents.

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

What I like best about Confluence is how easy it makes collaboration and documentation across teams. Everything stays in one place, whether it is meeting notes, project updates, SOPs, or technical documentation, so it becomes much easier to find information without digging through emails or chats.

I also like how flexible and organized it is. Creating pages, using templates, linking related content, and integrating with Jira helps teams stay aligned and work more efficiently.

The real time collaboration and version history are also really useful because updates and reviews become much smoother while still keeping track of changes.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

One thing I dislike about Confluence is that it can become cluttered over time if teams do not maintain a proper structure. Finding the right page or latest document sometimes takes extra effort, especially in large workspaces with a lot of outdated content.

The editor is good for general documentation, but formatting and page organization can occasionally feel limiting compared to more modern tools. Performance can also slow down when pages become too large or contain multiple integrations and macros.

Another challenge is that onboarding new users takes some time because there are many features, permissions, and navigation layers to understand.

Confluence helps solve the problem of scattered information across teams. Earlier, important details were spread across emails, chats, spreadsheets, and shared drives, which made it difficult to track updates or find the latest information. Confluence is my single source of truth for specs, runbooks, onboarding, and handoffs across Sidekick and BAM, and it’s where I centralize documentation so teams always know where to look. I like that THD-wide SSO makes spaces like the CEX landing page instantly accessible without extra friction. Its tight Jira integration, with JQL embeds and live backlogs on pages, lets me surface real-time status where people actually work. It also functions as a cross-team knowledge hub for OMS/Machine Teaching and CEX, where I contribute and maintain shared pages like Compatibility Rules to keep stakeholders aligned. And I rely on structured templates for documentation, release notes, and change logs, which keeps everything consistent and discoverable.

Briefly, Confluence tends to sprawl, which makes search noisy and navigation confusing; permissions and space governance are inconsistent; the editor is brittle with tables, images, and macros; Jira embeds can be flaky; attachments and versions get scattered; moving or renaming pages breaks links; and exports to PDF often lose formatting.

What I appreciate most about Confluence is how incredibly easy it is to use and how effectively it serves as a central hub for our team's knowledge. The platform is so intuitive that anyone can quickly start creating, editing, and sharing documents without needing any special training. I also value the wide range of macros and templates available, which make it straightforward to build well-structured pages for project plans, meeting notes, and technical documentation. 
The simple implementation process was a major benefit for us; we were able to get our team and initial projects up and running within just a few days. Another significant advantage is how easily Confluence integrates with other Atlassian products, such as Jira. 
This integration creates a seamless workflow, ensuring our project work always stays connected to the right context and requirements. 
As a result, we've solved the issue of fragmented information, saving countless hours and improving our team's alignment. Additionally, the platform's speed and frequency of use have made our daily work even more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

My main frustration with Confluence stems from its occasional performance issues. When working with very large spaces containing thousands of pages, the search function can become sluggish, and page loading times are noticeably longer. Although customer support is generally reliable, resolving more specific or niche issues can be time-consuming, often requiring a deep dive into their extensive knowledge base. 
Another significant drawback is that, despite Confluence's user-friendly interface, maintaining organization can be challenging.

The platform is little complex and confusing for new users as for creating multiple pages at the same time and add macro and spaces on it, takes a lot of time and it needs to be done much carefully. Also there are limitations for editing same page in details which is not there in Ms Word.

We store all of our documents and other business files in confluence and searching for any particular file of any time period is simple in it's dashboard. Also creating project plans for our business becomes simpler as it has lots of free templates which help us in making our proposal much appealing.

It’s great for cross‑team collaboration and visibility. I can easily see what my team is creating, updating, and referencing. The structured Spaces work well for departments and projects: each department can have its own workspace, and permissions can be tailored per space. This also helps keep pages more consistent across the organization and reduces the time spent on formatting. On top of that, you can embed Jira issues, reports, and dashboards directly inside pages.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Permissions feel “hidden” or fragmented across space settings, global admin, and licensing. Users often assume they’re blocked by permissions, but in our case the real root cause is a licensing mismatch.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of scattered, inconsistent documentation. Processes, historical notes, and team knowledge are no longer spread across multiple locations, which makes everything easier to find and keep aligned. It also simplifies onboarding for new team members, since they don’t have to search through multiple platforms to get up to speed.

**What do you like best about Confluence?**

I love using Confluence as it makes easy to keep everything in one place.The implementation gets very easy and smooth thanks to the in built AI features . My team uses it for meeting notes, project plans, and documentation, and it is so much easier to find things now. The best part is that it connects perfectly with Jira, so I can link tasks in jira and confluence pages without switching tools. The editor is simple, even if you are not technical, you can create clean pages in minutes. It also has the search feature which gives results with few key words.

**What do you dislike about Confluence?**

Everything about confluence is very smooth. The only part I believe can be improved is formatting as it gets a bit tricky sometimes when i add tables or images for HLD's or LLD's.

**What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Confluence has helped our team stay more organized. Before, we had docs scattered across emails, chats, and drives. Now, everything is in one place where everyone can see and update it. It is  especially useful when someone new joins the team as they can read through our pages to understand the work flow of the project and get up to speed quickly. It also integrates with Jira so we can easily see the documents when working on any ticket or task and understand the requirement in detail. It has made collaboration much easier and saved us a lot of back and forth communication.

One best thing about the Confluence is the versioning of the doucmentation so everything is track and nothing is lost. EVerything is centralised, easy to collaborate by commenting and mentioning the team member. The best part is, it integrates with Jira. It also has the permission control over the content.

Working or formatting the tables is really hard and also confusing. Also the pages can be long sometimes.

Writing the technical documents especially the API cycle and project related knowledge base where all the team members can contribute. We also use it to document the SOPs and other techinal protocol to be followed by the team, that basically acts a contitution of the work process.
