It is designed to assist in organization, learning, planning, writing, and presentations for individuals and teams. This app imports and exports to a wide variety of file formats that extend its capabilities as a productivity tool. ConceptDraw MINDMAP supports two operating systems Windows and macOS providing a no-charge technical support. The product can be used alone or in conjunction with its ConceptDraw OFFICE suite mates (a bundle of products that also includes ConceptDraw DIAGRAM – business graphics and diagramming; ConceptDraw PROJECT – project management). I use this software to draw an organizational structure for one of my projects and the sample diagrams save my day **What do you dislike about ConceptDraw MINDMAP?** This is not a free software, you need to purchase the software to get all the diagrams and the symbols if you want to design more professional and standard diagrams. **Recommendations to others considering ConceptDraw MINDMAP:** This is so good when you are not sure what to put in the diagram, their samples are easy to edit and modify as you want **What problems is ConceptDraw MINDMAP solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was so confuse in the beginning the put what in my mind to to a diagram, I was all around but the templates were easy to edit and they can adjust easily. It can be overwhelming and there is a bit of learning curve, but once you warm up to it, the potential is limitless. **What do you dislike about ConceptDraw MINDMAP?** A bit dated UI considering it's running on Windows 10. **What problems is ConceptDraw MINDMAP solving and how is that benefiting you?** You are not bound by the dimensions of a piece of paper. The interface is simple to use and allows the user to quickly get on with designing their project. The options are extensive and the finished design looks great. The various pictures and icons really help when designing. **What do you dislike about ConceptDraw MINDMAP?** It does like a little 'childlike' in appearance. Whilst the interface is simple to use it is a little lacking in the design front. A less 'CAD like' design would be a better approach, in our opinion. **What problems is ConceptDraw MINDMAP solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a community arts charity, who run music, filmmaking and arts projects this software has been super useful for both project leaders and participants to map out their working projects. ### 4. Nice ribbon based user interface, some really nice options to choose from (like positioning of objects on page, themes manager,...). My favorite is a presentation maker (very unique feature). Also to mention export options (You can choose from .PDF to presentation or .DOC as a result of Your work). **What do you dislike about ConceptDraw MINDMAP?** Thera are 2 main issues: - price policy (expensive software than expensive templates) - template installation/buying process. **Recommendations to others considering ConceptDraw MINDMAP:** We tried to use it but price policy is a problematic one. Better avoid it. **What problems is ConceptDraw MINDMAP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Neither one, whole package have pricing issues so we decided to stay away from it. ### 5. I ended up using ConceptDraw's Mindmap through several versions now and have stuck with it almost exclusively. It has everything I need and I alternate between list/outline and actual mapping depending upon how I am thinking at the time and what is most appropriate for what I am doing. I started with Mindmap. I think most ConceptDraw users started with ConceptDraw. But I have since found the integration with CD Project and CD very useful at times. The theming, arranging, and relational tools are easy to use and intuitive. There are also a lot of free additions in the CD Store that are useful in themselves and for example and inspiration. **What do you dislike about ConceptDraw MINDMAP?** Overall I am happy with the CD universe but it is pricey compared to a lot of other options including some decent options that are free to use. I also wonder why they chose to directly incorporate Twitter, Evernote and MS OneNote as they seem arbitrary choices subject to personal preferences. My biggest pet peeve is that in the Outline view I always have to reset the font and I cannot set a standard font and size. It cannot be set globally or for the document being worked on. In the middle of working after I have already reset the font, I will need to update all new work with my font choice. It is relatively minor but this becomes really tedious for me! **Recommendations to others considering ConceptDraw MINDMAP:** Very good product and the company has been good over the years at responding to my support questions. I believe this product is targeted to larger corporate customers or project management and facilities management related professionals. So if you are just looking for a cheap mindmapping tool this may not be your first choice. But if you want reliable software that is well supported and put a premium on that, this was my best choice. **What problems is ConceptDraw MINDMAP solving and how is that benefiting you?** For Mindmap specifically this is a great tool for organizing and developing thoughts for a variety of purposes. Specifically it can be a starting point for a project which can then later be fleshed out in a more formalized way. On the level of presentation it can be used for graphical purposes into a different medium presentation or on its own direct from Mindmap. It is also useful for reference points/notes in project management. ### 7. Asides from that, this software is made to make you more efficient. **Recommendations to others considering ConceptDraw MINDMAP:** Mindmap is great when used as a standalone app, but when used with other ConceptDraw products, its potential is really met. It's not a cheap option but buying the ConceptDraw Office suite could definitely take you to the right path. **What problems is ConceptDraw MINDMAP solving and how is that benefiting you?** ConceptDraw Mindmap was the first commercial mindmapping software I really used, and many of the key features of other competitors are, to my consideration, taken form this app. The main feature is the availity to integrate it with the Project and Diagram makes it all worthwhile. Plus the time dedicated to mindmap formating is reduced alot when applying or desiging your own themes. Mainly time reduction throughout the use of this software when brainstorming and presenting to clients or the boss is the main advange over other Mindmapping software. ### 8. However, some smart copy/paste could do the job as well **What problems is ConceptDraw MINDMAP solving and how is that benefiting you?** MINDMAP is an excellent addition to PROJECT, as the graphical reporting and integration with PROJECT is a real add to get the project teams aligned in the programs I'm running for my customers ### 9. It is very much like existing Microsoft software (word, excel, etc.) so I feel that I already know how to navigate it. **What do you dislike about ConceptDraw MINDMAP?** I dislike that it is a "local" software so it is not as easy as other chart creation software to "share" documents with coworkers. **Recommendations to others considering ConceptDraw MINDMAP:** If you are familiar with Microsoft products then give this software a try for sure because the interface is so similar. **What problems is ConceptDraw MINDMAP solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am solving the problem of keeping track of ideas and brainstorming.
