Cognito Forms has become the backbone of how I run my business and manage client work. The builder is intuitive enough that I've created more than 70 forms myself, from client intake and proposals to a full client portal, and features like calculated fields, conditional logic and lookups let a single form work like a small app. I collect deposits and payments right inside my forms, and I've connected Cognito to Claude so I can pull entries and build forms inside my AI workflows without exporting anything. Even my longest multi-page onboarding forms run smoothly, and entries come through reliably every time. It does the job of several tools I'd otherwise pay for separately, like e-signatures, payment collection and simple databases, and one of my nonprofit clients runs its entire expense report and payment request process on it. The templates and help articles made it easy to get up and running, and the AI form generation turns a plain description into a working first draft, which speeds up every new client setup. My biggest frustration is losing work. More than once I've been basically done building a form, opened it in Preview to test it, and had it stall, time out and go completely blank. Because the builder doesn't autosave, everything I hadn't saved was gone and I had to start the whole build over, which is a painful way to lose an afternoon. Calculations can also be tricky. The expression syntax is powerful, but when I know exactly what result I want and can't work out how to write it, I end up searching help articles and testing over and over. It's also frustrating to hear about a new feature I've been waiting for, only to realize there's no easy way to add it to the forms that already need it. With dozens of forms in use, updating them one by one isn't realistic, so the forms that would benefit most often go without it. Autosave in the builder, more worked examples for common calculations, and a way to apply new features across existing forms would make a big difference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
