What do you like best about Coalesce Catalog (formerly CastorDoc)?

The lineage feature has made data discovery much simpler, and connecting to different data sources is an easy process.

I also find the Search & SQL AI agent to be a highly useful tool.

Having a single, unified platform for our entire data environment has turned out to be extremely powerful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coalesce Catalog (formerly CastorDoc)?

One limitation is that we are unable to connect other AI agents directly to the Catalog knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Coalesce Catalog (formerly CastorDoc) solving and how is that benefiting you?

It addresses several needs: data search is enhanced by lineage tracking, which makes it easier to trace data origins.

The AI assists with research and helps generate SQL queries upon request. However, there is no single source of truth, which can be a drawback.

Additionally, it provides documentation for tables and columns, making it easier to understand the data structure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
