**What do you like best about Clover?**

I like that they offer a desktop feature. We need a platform that’s accessible for different employees, and the desktop option makes that easy. It allows multiple employees to run cards using their own username and password. The reports are also a strong point: they show our sales in real time and let us review sales across different time periods. Customer support has been helpful, the price is competitive, and the integration process was seamless when we moved over from our old processor.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

The site is hard to navigate, especially when the ZIP code doesn’t match. Our customers provide the ZIP code they believe is attached to their card, but it becomes a hassle because sometimes the transaction will still go through and other times the card will be declined. When a card is declined, there isn’t a clear message explaining why, so it’s difficult to know what to tell the customer. Also, after we run a card, we have selected the option for the receipt to print automatically, but that never happens. Instead, there are two additional steps to get a printed receipt, which takes more time and slows down the transaction.

**What problems is Clover solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They allow us to accept both credit and debit cards, which gives our customers more options when it’s time to make a payment.

**What do you like best about Clover?**

I use Clover for my tire shop to process credit card payments and review reports. It gives me a very clear view of where our income is coming from, like which payment methods are used, who the customers are, and what products we're selling. It's very comprehensive. One of the most important features is the ability to make items and manage inventory, which helps tie the business together and ensures everything is accounted for. It really helps with the accounting aspect by tying together the cost of goods for each sale. Also, integrating with QuickBooks Online is very smooth, which is a big plus. Once I figured out what level we needed to run our business properly, the setup of Clover was pretty much easy, and it's been very good.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

They charge a very high membership in order to incorporate advanced inventory, which would allow the tracking of the cost of goods. Right now, I'm on a $30 a month plan, but if I wanted to do more advanced inventory, it would cost me around $85 a month, which is a lot more. I think we should include that in the cheaper plan.

**What problems is Clover solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Clover to process credit card payments and review reports, which gives a clear view of income sources. It simplifies accounting by tying together costs and inventory, enhancing business management.

**What do you like best about Clover?**

I love how Clover keeps better track of our sales and provides specific reports regarding our inventory and what has been sold, which is an improvement over our previous POS providers. I also love that there is a camera on the POS systems, which helps us know who's using and doing what because sometimes people forget to sign out, and another employee might ring under someone else's name.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

The whole thing with having to purchase individual apps, the prices add up quickly. I understand how Clover is basically a POS middle-man, but I think there should be a discounted price if we have to utilize other apps for clocking, scheduling, gift cards, combo/deals and promotions, etc. For example- if an app is $10/month, if we are using it through Clover- I would expect to pay $7 or $8/mo. If that makes sense

Clover keeps better track of our sales and provides specific inventory reports, which is an improvement over our previous POS providers.

Clover is a functional POS system, with lots of opportunities for unique add-ons built by clover and third party developers.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

The add-ons typically cost money, such as more quality reporting, a round-up feature, and other things.  And yet, not all of these add-ons end up working for every system, so you have to pay for it and check it out for a month before you know if its helpful and worth the cost.  Clover's fee structure is misleading, as you end up being charged different rates for each credit card company, and some super high rates really affect a tourism business like ours.

**What do you like best about Clover?**

I find Clover very easy to use, which is a big plus for me. All aspects of its use are made with a lot of thought and its interface is easy to see and utilize.  Aside from the extra bonuses with purchases, adding value for repeat customers, its a great return on investment as a customer may come in ordering 1 item and as there are special incentives to order more--that customer ends up adding more to their order. It's great that you can keep someone in the system as a continuous user and try to sell them more items. My clients loved that aspect. Clover works well with Five Stars and other reward programs, which enhances its value. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy; despite needing some phone help, we managed to set it up quite easily. (My co. did not have AI intelligence added to the Clover POS system.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

Sometimes there are issues with payment source, but it is rectified quickly. Infrequently there was a slight problem with the interface and the checkout would need to be repeated. But it was fairly rare-Other than that, there were very minor issues.

**What problems is Clover solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clover is very easy to use, and my previous POS Check out registers/ computers took lots of time and were not helpful. The ability to coordinate with other companies and offers extra bonuses with purchases. My clients liked being in this system as a continuous user, as it provided value for repeat customers and integrates well with programs like Five Stars for promoting and selling more items. While there was NO AI at that time, we were interested in adding the AI integration in the future.

The only thing I dislike is that it isn’t very customizable. It would be nice to have the option to make it more organization-centric in style. Also, we can't add is the donation in memory or in honor of someone.

What I like bedt about Clover POS is that it gives me one platform I can confidently recommend to merchants at any stage of growth. With built-in tools and integrations like QuickBooks and Homebase, it simplifies more than just payments. It helps me solve real business challenges while building trust with my clients.

What I dislike most about Clover POS is that it’s more focused on cash discounting than true dual pricing, which can create reporting challenges for merchants. On top of that, relying on third-party apps to handle standard business practices can sometimes feel cumbersome and less seamless than it should be.

Right now, Clover is solving the problem of giving small and mid-sized merchants a single system that manages both payments and day-to-day operations. Instead of juggling separate tools for reporting, payroll, scheduling, and inventory, Clover brings those into one platform. I use Clover terminals for customer and phone transactions, and I appreciate how easy they are to use. The terminals also have extra features that we make use of. The cost is very competitive and they work remotely on wifi, which is really convenient. I really like the recurring billing feature because it allows us to create billing agreements for payment schedules that work very well. The setup process was basically instant with a quick setup wizard.

There is nothing really that I dislike about my clover units.

I use Clover for easy customer and phone transactions with competitive terminal costs that work remotely on WiFi. The recurring billing feature allows us to create effective billing agreements for payment schedules.

Support is terrible, trying to get things fixed with support takes too much time and the fix is never fixed.  It makes things difficult.

I use Clover when I'm at a restaurant because it provides me with points to redeem or a percentage off my purchase. I like that whenever you use Clover, you earn points which can be used towards a purchase. A lot of retail stores have Clover now, not just restaurants, and I find it very helpful. I've never had any issues with using it.

I like the ease of use for it. If you have multiple locations, you can connect all of it to one dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

Different versions of the POS don't update to the newest dashboard. I don't like how if you have multiple locations connected, you can't make changes for one location and copy it to the others. You will have to manually do it per location.

if you decide to not use Clover anymore, you cannot resell the POS as it only setup for your specific business.

It really isn't solving anything for me. its really just the basic use for it. I would like for it to have it's own inventory app where you can create recipes so all inventory will be accurate.

There is nothing I dislike about Clover, it works very well.

Before we use Clover, we don't have any POS, we only send out invoices from the accounting system, and customers have to pay through the link online. However, sometimes they don't have internet access or they feel inconvenient to have to look up the emails, enter every payment information online when they are already here in the office with us. So, we offered the Clover POS later on to provide more convenience to our customers.

Customizable Apps: You can tailor Clover to your business with apps from their marketplace. Need customer loyalty features? Want online ordering? There’s likely an app for that.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

The biggest headache? Third-party resellers. Depending on who you buy Clover through, you might get hit with hidden fees, long-term contracts, or crazy cancellation penalties.

You really have to read the fine print—some deals look great upfront but aren’t so friendly long-term.

Clover is easy to use and great for a lot of small businesses—but you do need to be careful about who you buy it through, and be aware that it’s not as flexible or open as other POS systems. If you're cool with that, it’s still a solid choice.

Before Clover, it felt like we had a different app or system for every little thing—payments, inventory, employee hours, etc. Now? It’s all in one place. Less bouncing around = more time focusing on actual business. It saves us time, reduces stress, keeps customers happy, and helps us make smarter decisions. And in business? That’s everything.

I appreciate the versatility that Clover provides for my clients. If you are a restaurant, retail store, service industry it's great for you. If you need to manage customers or clients or employees, there are tools for all!

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

I wish there was a bit more flexibility with the equipment. Being able to update from one processor to another could be helpful if needed. It would be nice if there was an approval process for that.

Clover allows me to run my business clients how they need to be run. It's as simple or complex as you want it to be. The app market allows me access to customize the process for almost anyone

Clover makes it incredibly easy to run PCI compliance scans and generate compliance documents. As an end-user, I love that we can schedule our scans on a regular basis and then have them automatically transmitted to our merchant service provider.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

If you don't have any prior experience with web architecture or security scans, the interface can be a little difficult to understand. More robust help files and better click-paths would be a huge help.

**What problems is Clover solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clover handles our PCI compliance scans to make sure that our credit card processing network is secure and that we remain in compliance with the latest PCI regulations.

Easy to take payment. Easy to access payment data. Generally simple dashboard to navigate.

Their setup process could be better. The codes needed to verify the account were glitchy at best. We don't use a clover device so some of the tutorials didn't apply in terms of refunding orders. We were coming off of PayEazy (acquired) and predominately needed a system provide return payments.

Refunds for customer orders when an order is beyond the refund date.

**What do you like best about Clover?**

Clover can be easy to setup. It doesn't take long to begin taking payments.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

Pretty much everything else is a negative. It's hard to know where to start. To begin, you must know that they disallow the use of used equipment. That means if you're dissatisfied with Clover your equipment is pretty much bricked. You get nothing for it. Oh, and you will be dissatified with them. There are so many annoyances. Their batch is setup for 7pm PST, in the middle of a shift. Their deposits then combine multiple days with no report to know what days are in the deposit. You can't do partial refunds unless you're in their highest tier. I can almost never get a report on the device, I have to login on a computer. It goes on and on. Oh, and forget a "trial period" they don't honor it and won't allow you to return the equipment. Clover is just in it to get your money. They do not care about you as a customer, at all.

Not much other than allowing me to take payments, which there are plenty of other companies out there that will do it better than them.

The portable clover Unit allows us to hand off the device for signatures and do transactions without being stuck to a static desk or location. This is a significant benefit if we need to deliver a project to the customer and collect payment via hotspot.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

I wish that the unit would be able to accept standard-size receipt papers so we don't have to use tiny ones. If the housing were larger at the end, which it already is, it would be perfect.

It solves the need to hook up a static credit card machine to a LAN line or ethernet port. That way it eliminates the need to stay stuck to a signal point of sale, and we can be mobile.

It's a very reliable platform for handling a small business I would say, keeps inventory in order and is easy to use on a daily basis during Sales, returns and such

I wouldn't say dislike, but the lack of variants/child products integration kind of make it hard to organize, as we needed to enter the items as individual items even though they were part of a Parent Product

Well all the manual work of doing conciliation and inventory management, Clover made it way easier for me and team mates, and its user friendly so our less tech savvy contributors were able to understand the system.

**What do you like best about Clover?**

I like that it walks you through each step and will let you know if you filled out a part incorrectly. I also like that it will show you what card you are using (Visa,Amex, etc.). I like all the options for how you can send a receipt. I usually email it to myself and will forward it to the homeowner. It makes it easier to accept payments over the phone if you are not currently set up to take online payments.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

Only issues I've had is with logging in, but with the facial recognition it makes it no problem to log in. I also don't like that you can't run payments on their website, only able to do so in the mobile app. It might be something as simple as how I am set up on our company account, but other than that, its a great app to use for a company.

**Recommendations to others considering Clover:**

If you are hesitant to try it, don't be. It is very easy to use and is quick and easy. Sends receipt immediately or it will let you know its been declined.

**What problems is Clover solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clover helps our company collect payments quicker, instead of having to wait for it to be mailed to our main office. It also helps gets the receipts over to the homeowner faster. Overall, it helps with time management, payables, and receivables.

The only complaint I would have about Clover is their support team. They are not all that helpful and take a while to get issues resolved. We rarely have an issue so we can look past that

It's the most user-friendly point of sale we have. Since everyone knows how to use a smartphone or tablet, it comes naturally to our merchants. It is definitely our top seller

I like all the app options and how everything is right on the register and connects to each other. I love how quick the operating system is, for example when using as a register, orders can be taken very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

Sometimes the system freezes and needs a reboot, but when it does it boots quicker than any other system I've used.

**Recommendations to others considering Clover:**

I would consider how easy and fast it is to use, the shortcuts are very convenient. The system sometimes crashes and needs reboot, but that's happened with a lot of other systems I've used and none reboots quicker than Clover.

Benefits are definitely that it intergrades all of our other apps and things that we use. A HUGE benefit is the speed and ease of tapping options compared to other systems I've used.

Nothing they made pay $1200 for there machine and closed my account over $4k in chargebacks from a customer which I won after processing over $100k in 6 months.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

Horrible customer service very unprofessional security team. Called me from McDonald's with her kids in the background to discuss my account. What a joke. How can you call me in a public setting to discuss credit cards and customers information pretty sure that's illegal.  When I complained they closed my account and kept my money! Don't use them.

Technology is great but the customer service is horrible! First Data is supposed to be a great company but they have gone down hill fast

**What do you like best about Clover?**

Clover is one of the best platforms available to manage cash and taking payments without any hustle and writing every time. Using this in my business company actually helps me to work fast and don’t hustle in receiving and transferring payments. The software is totally easy to use. The dashboard is exceptionally well designed and has all the modern-day tools to manage the payments very well.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

The biggest drawback that I have faced while using this platform that it needs access direct to the bank which is quite bad for big businesses. As in our company we are using this, it is for a long time and still facing the same issue. Some businesses do not want that their employers and staff have direct access to their bank account and can see facts and figures of an account which actually is personal and no one wants to charge it with anyone.

**Recommendations to others considering Clover:**

It is the far best point of sale payments that I use in the past years. Easy to use, quick setup and clean, fast UI makes it more worthy and valuable to money. The support team and dashboard are also up to mark. Highly recommended platform.

I have been using it for a long time, it has a customizable feature to customize the dashboard and layout without any hustle. I can customize different layouts for my company according to the needs and requirements. Another best feature that attracts me to use more often and trust this is the integration module, it easily can get integrate with different other software that I was using early for managing payment and drop shipping stores.

I have to use a separate website for the transaction reports. It would be nice to have everything all in one place.

Clover has simplified our credit card transactions. Before this, we had an antiquated system that would often have issues transmitting and processing. And there was no online interface available for viewing transactions or printing reports.

Clover is easy to use and set up, and the most substantial positive about this app is its usability and ease of use. It provides many features/tools for your business needs. It has coupon processing, virtual pin pads, gift card management, employee management, and advanced reporting. It is frequently updated in the app store as well.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

Clovers customer support is not the best, and it can take a while to get responses or answers.  It's not the most simplistic process to have that support. There is no one place to buy it, yet you are pretty restricted to a single merchant services provider. You’re going to get different rates, prices, and customer service options at each location, which can be frustrating.

There is nothing helpful from Clover / Firstdata / Fiserv. They are a merchant processor. The only help needed should be on initial setup or for equipment failure.

**What do you dislike about Clover?**

Horrible communication skills. Very poor customer service. Absolutely antiquated policies.

**What problems is Clover solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's taken 6 weeks to change our "deposit to" account and it still isn't done. We discussed this when we first opened the merchant processing account with this company. We did this because we knew our business account would not be completed in time for our business opening. We were assured we could easily change our deposit-to account via the web interface at that time, so we signed up.
When it came time to change the account, the web interface has only a "call us at this number (nnn-nnn-nnnn) if you want to change this account number". I called, which took over 5 minutes just to get past all the verification and get to a ringing phone. I waited on hold for over 30 minutes only to get someone on the other end that said "oh, we can't do that, you have to call 'this' number". I called the other number and got the same auto-attendant and a subsequent individual in another country who said that he couldn't help with my request but he would escalate it and someone would call. Two days, no call. So I called back. Same thing. THen I got vocal and demanded to speak with someone higher up. After almost an hour I finally reached someone that said "oh, you can't change that on the web, but you can change it on the unit". I went to the store and checked, no ability to change it on the device.
I had to call yet again and go through the same process. Finally reached someone who said they needed a voided check. We didn't provide one to set up the account originally, and we don't use checks for a reason. We were told we had to "get a note from the bank". You have to make an appointment to go into the bank and we didn't have time for that so we submitted a statement. 

Keep in mind, every time I communicated with the company, there were multiple verification steps. I was calling from the same number used to open the account, as well as the same email.

Then they said we needed to fill out a form. We did this and signed it with our signature stamp in a PDF document just as we did our original opening documents, but they won't accept that to make a change. I don't have a scanner to "print-sign-scan" and told them so. 

To legitimize their "policy" they would say "it's for your safety" or something similar, but again, multiple steps of verification had already been taken. And this is how we originally set up the account.

To date we have been unable to get this changed. Once our contract is up, I will leave this company.

I can't easily print off multiple transactions. I can download them to a spreadsheet and print off a list, but that has tons of useless info that I have to edit out of the spreadsheet (very time consuming) or I have to screenshot the transaction history (also time consuming) or I have to print them off one by one - which is time consuming and usually useless since the customer name doesn't get printed. I want a feature that allows me to easily print and includes:customer name, last four of card number, date, and amount.

Chose another company if you want to print

See above. Clover is good, but overall there are better options. Clover is excellent for beginners though and has all the basic features needed.
