"Cloudera Keeps University Enrollment and Exam Records Organized and Fast"
4/5
What do you like best about Cloudera?

Entering student enrollment details, marks, and college fee records across different campuses in the Kashmir valley used to create constant problems, but Cloudera helps our administration stay organized at the data desk. Its user-friendly interface makes it easy to review daily submissions, search by roll number, and confirm batch status without having to click through multiple menu levels.

The direct connection with our office spreadsheet, SQL database, and file server allows us to upload examination archive sheets smoothly, without manually reformatting them first. Even during mid-semester result cycles with thousands of submissions, the sheets are processed instantly, with no lag or freezing.

The error-detection tool is also very helpful: any non-matching student registration code or an empty cell is flagged immediately, even before submission. It only took a few introductory training sessions for our office staff to learn the software and start seeing its real value for university administration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudera?

Deeper permission settings and customized batch processing through the console can be challenging for regular data-entry staff without IT support. We’ve also run into syncing issues with external university spreadsheets, including minor synchronization delays when candidates submit applications around month-end. The automatic field validator can trigger too frequently because candidate names don’t always match expected formats due to regional spelling variations, which then requires manual approval. For data-sync problems, getting quick help typically means submitting a ticket through the technical help desk rather than having access to live support, and the licensing costs are quite high.
