The biggest win for me is that Clio Work connects directly to the matter context inside Clio Manage, so I don’t have to manually copy and paste or upload confidential PDFs into some random browser tab.

I mainly use it for two things: digesting discovery documents and generating rough first drafts of motions and client memos. When I ask questions about an ongoing case, it pulls details straight from the matter’s uploaded documents, correspondence, and notes. I also appreciate that the research layer is backed by real, verified case law (via vLex), so I’m not wasting time double-checking for hallucinated citations. It’s not entirely “set it and forget it”; you still need to be thoughtful with your prompting. If my prompt is too vague, the generated text can come out a bit formulaic, so I usually spend 10–15 minutes refining it to match my firm’s specific voice and local jurisdictional formatting.
