As a UI/UX Designer, the first thing that stood out to me about ClickUp was the user interface. It's clean, modern, and surprisingly easy to navigate considering how feature rich the platform is. Many productivity tools become overwhelming because they try to do too much, but ClickUp does a great job of organizing everything in a way that feels intuitive. After a short time, I found myself navigating the platform without having to think about where things were.
The onboarding experience was another highlight. It was straightforward, interactive, and explained the core features without feeling overwhelming. I didn't have to spend hours watching tutorials before I could start managing my projects, which made getting started much easier.
One feature I've genuinely enjoyed is ClickUp Brain. It has become a useful assistant for brainstorming ideas, summarizing tasks, and helping me organize my thoughts when working on design projects. It reduces a lot of the repetitive work and allows me to spend more time focusing on solving actual design problems instead of administrative tasks.
Performance has also been solid. Even while managing multiple spaces, documents, and tasks, the platform remains responsive and reliable. I also appreciate how well ClickUp integrates with tools my team already uses, making collaboration much smoother without constantly switching between different apps.
From a value perspective, ClickUp offers a lot in one platform. Instead of paying for separate tools for task management, documentation, collaboration, and AI assistance, having everything in one place has simplified my workflow and saved both time and effort.
Overall, ClickUp has become one of the few productivity tools I genuinely enjoy using. It combines thoughtful design, powerful features, and practical AI in a way that improves my day to day workflow. As someone who cares deeply about user experience, it's refreshing to use a product that clearly puts just as much thought into usability as it does into functionality. Overall, I've had a really positive experience with ClickUp, but if I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be performance as workspaces become larger and more complex. While day-to-day usage is smooth, I've occasionally noticed slight delays when navigating larger projects or switching between views. I think optimizing speed and responsiveness would make an already great product even better.
I also feel that ClickUp's extensive feature set can be a little overwhelming for new users. The flexibility is one of its biggest strengths, but simplifying the experience or making advanced features easier to discover over time could help reduce the learning curve.
Aside from that, I'd love to see more premium features become available on the lower-tier plans. ClickUp offers incredible value, but making some of those features more accessible would be especially helpful for freelancers, students, and small teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
