What do you like best about Claude Code?

Claude code is easy to use, it is very easily integrated into VS Code by using a simple extension and can be used in a general chat plus used from console. Claude is in a phase where it can write boilerplate code very easily and very fast, but it can't think for you, it can't be an actual engineer in that sense when you are thinking from a software development perspective. The pricing is okay, it is affordable but there can definitely be better prices I feel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

It is nowhere near as good as advertised. To get the most out of it, you have to know how to use it. People think it can completely replace a software engineer. As someone who has used it, it can't and can at times mess up the simplest of commands. You basically have to keep it on a tight leash. It does help me overall and reduces redundant work I have to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Claude Code solving and how is that benefiting you?

Think of coding as having two separate phases: one is thinking of a solution and writing and implementing it, and then there is a lot of code we have to write that doesn't really involve any innovation, like changing CSS properties of an app according to client needs. Compare it to making a building: there is a lot of thinking plus innovation that goes into making a building from scratch and involves architects and engineers, and then there is the labor of putting up bricks and cement and whatnot. For coding, there is finally a separation between these two things. I can spend more of my time solving actual problems and optimizing code and making it scalable. This is something Claude is not good at, but for the rest of the things, Claude is very good to have and definitely helps me optimize my own time and efficiency.
