What do you like best about Civil 3D?

I like how Civil 3D keeps different parts of the design connected. If we make a change to an alignment or surface, we don’t have to manually update everything from scratch. It saves a lot of time, especially when working on projects that go through multiple design changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Civil 3D?

There is definitely a learning curve with Civil 3D. Some features are not very easy to figure out at first, and larger files can sometimes feel slow. Also, when something goes wrong with a corridor, reference, or style, finding the actual issue can take more time than it should. What problems is Civil 3D solving and how is that benefiting you?

Civil 3D helps us manage design changes without having to redo a lot of work manually. We use it for surfaces, alignments, profiles, grading and other civil design tasks.
