What do you like best about Citavi?

It’s a one-stop place for storing all my literature and organizing it by chapters and author names. I can even edit PDFs and highlight sentences to use as citations during my report writing. I also really liked the feature that lets us organize citations by keywords, because it makes it much easier to find the right citations while writing my report. It worked really well with Microsoft Word; I was able to integrate the Citavi app into the Word application for seamlessly importing my references during report writing. I used the paid version of Citavi access provided by my research group, and I think the pricing is very affordable for the features it offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Citavi?

Sometimes it glitched while integrating with Microsoft Word. The add-on in Word didn’t work at times, and the references didn’t appear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Citavi solving and how is that benefiting you?

It solves the huge problem of keeping all my references organized in one place. And it doesn’t just organize them—I can actually use them and cite authors directly from my Citavi references list into Word while writing a report. I can also pick citations straight from the web with the help of the Citavi Picker, add the web URL to the citation, and store everything as references in a single place.

It really, really solves the problem of giving proper citations without missing any, and I don’t have to deal with the mess of manually adding citations. It does it automatically with a single click. It saves me a lot of time and efforts to give citations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
