## Cisco Duo Reviews
  ### 1. Strong Device Visibility and Access Control, but Offline Codes Can Be Cumbersome

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert B. | Lead Support Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

What I like best about Cisco Duo is the visibility it gives us into user devices and how easy it is to control which devices can access our systems. That added layer of device awareness helps us enforce stronger access policies and gives us more confidence that only trusted devices are being used. It is especially helpful from a security perspective because it makes it easier to manage access without creating too much friction for users.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

What I dislike most about Cisco Duo is that administering offline codes for server access can be frustrating, especially in environments where reliable fallback access is important. While the platform works well overall, some administrative tasks can feel more cumbersome than they should be. There is also a learning curve when configuring more detailed access policies.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cisco Duo helps us secure remote access by integrating well with our remote access solution and giving us better visibility into where people are connecting from. Before that, we had less insight into access activity and fewer controls around remote logins. Now we can apply stronger authentication, see more clearly where access attempts are coming from, and make better decisions about who should be allowed in. That improves security, reduces access risk, and gives us more confidence in our remote access process.

  ### 2. Cisco DUO has been our most reliable 2FA solution so far

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason L. | Network Administrator, Retail, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

Cisco DUO is very intuitive for both the end user and admins alike. The DUO app works with all kinds of mobile devices that I have come across and appears to stay up to date. The DUO solution is integrated with our Cisco Firewall solution so it is easily managed. The App performs very quickly, though it does rely on a decent network connection of almost any type. Cost associated with DUO is very reasonable compared to other solutions, and support is very good.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

There is not much to say here, other than the DUO Push solution is sometimes too qick. The end user does not expect it to only allow them about 7 seconds to approve the prompt. However this is almost always a breif learning curve to just be prepared when you hit confirm on the laptop knowing the prompt on your mobile device is following asap.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use this as 2FA to confirm VPN credentials and connect to our internal network for remote Team members.

  ### 3. Effortless Security Compliance with Cisco Duo

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawn L. | Senior Systems Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

I like that Cisco Duo is easy to use and it solves compliance issues for us. The users like the push feature, which makes it easy to approve logins without having to enter 2FA codes. I also appreciate that many users have found the push notifications go to their Apple Watches for approval. The tech support is knowledgeable and easy to work with. Setting it up was easy too.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

We haven't found anything about the product we don't like yet.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cisco Duo to secure desktop logins, solving compliance needs for insurance and law enforcement. It's easy to use, and users appreciate the push feature over entering 2FA codes, even approving via Apple Watch. It meets all requirements, and support is knowledgeable.

  ### 4. Efficient MFA with User-Friendly Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

I like Cisco Duo for its ease of use, setup, and maintenance. It saves me time and lets me focus more on my job. The initial setup was straightforward, even with me serving as the administrator for two locations. Cisco Duo helps restrict access to our systems and blocks unauthorized access to confidential information, which works very well for us. DUO support is also great on the rare occasions when I need it.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

I don’t really have any dislikes. It’s easy to set up and maintain, and adding or removing users is straightforward. As the administrator, it takes very little effort to manage, and it’s simple to use on a daily basis. There’s no need for AI here, since it’s a direct system that’s easy to work with.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cisco Duo for MFA to enhance security and help block unauthorized access to confidential information. The setup and ongoing maintenance are straightforward, so I spend less time updating the system and more time focused on my job. It integrates with our CDK Domain Directory, which allows all of our systems to be protected under the same approach. It also performs very quickly, and it’s priced at a level I consider affordable.

  ### 5. Smooth, Intuitive UI with Stable Performance and Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darsh A. | Cyber Security Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

The UI/UX is smooth and intuitive, and it offers a vast number of integrations. Performance is stable and consistently good; users in my organization have never experienced any issues with MFA. The support and onboarding process has also been excellent, and we receive prompt responses to any questions or queries.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

The initial setup feels a bit complex, and I had to refer to the detailed documentation to fully understand the configuration options.

**What problems is Cisco Duo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cisco Duo provides us with MFA for almost all the logins across our organization. Because it offers a vast number of integrations, we’ve been able to integrate it with our other products and services, and this has improved our security posture by almost 40%.

**Reviewed by:** mani s. | data engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Cisco Duo?**

What I like most about Cisco Duo is how it strengthens our login process. We use Cisco Duo for authentication for our company portal. It provides a six-digit code that you need to enter, and only then are you able to successfully log in to the company portal, AWS, and GitLab.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**

One thing I dislike about Cisco Duo is that push notifications can sometimes arrive late, especially when my internet connection is slow.

The push authentication is lightweight and easy to accept, offering security with a level of convenience. Additionally, the initial setup of Cisco Duo was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Duo?**
