"Robustness and Flexibility with Cincom CPQ"

What do you like best about Cincom CPQ?

The robustness of the standalone platform is exceptional. We can trust that the service is available whenever we need it, and we’ve only experienced occasional breakdowns. Cincom CPQ is also very flexible, allowing integrations with well-established business processes and the broader ecosystem. The configuration engine is also worth to mention, as it manages well in real-life scenarios with non-ideal product structures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cincom CPQ?

The UI is overdue an overhaul. Also, the overall architecture of the application is segregated in a way, that each of the sections require different expertise to manage and modify. Wherein the platform itself is very flexible, for example process modifications require often experts to adjust, and in real life business processes do change. From product portfolio management point of view, pricelist, product catalog, and pricing engine are not state of the art. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cincom CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

First and foremost, it is a business enabler for selling mass-tailored offerings. Second, it gives us a portfolio management platform and provides the first line of the engineering and delivery organization with an interface to sales; without a common platform, these groups can easily become segregated. It also adds visibility and transparency to our day-to-day sales operations and lets us deploy business processes in a concrete, actionable way, rather than leaving them as training material only. Lastly, a topic that could be easily overlooked is the value of Special Requests, which are used to request product features outside the standard offering. Special Requests give the engineering and product management organizations a direct line of sight into market demand—something that, without Cincom CPQ, would be difficult to quantify.
