It is light i.e. uses and requires comparatively less advanced hardware or computational resources, it is fast, launches quickly, is easy to use, and has a very user-friendly interface, doesn't drain the data pack by downloading unnecessary background apps or data, houses most of the basic necessities as offered by other browsers, easy to download and install, pretty similar to Google Chrome Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Chromium OS? There are some bugs but unfortunately, they render many basic and necessary functionalities unusable. In the version that I m using now (Sep 20, 2020), I can not login into the browser to sync my user data and preferences, something that other browsers offer and which can be highly useful in syn user data and setting in case there is a fresh installation of windows/ browser. I am unable to play videos in most of the websites apart from youtube, including Facebook, Instagram, etc. Hence, I have to, unfortunately, copy the post/video link from fb and paste it in another browser to watch the video. Recommendations to others considering Chromium OS: While google chrome is a good solution for someone searching for a fast and light browser, Chromium OS is even faster and lighter. I have used both simultaneously and I can approve that Chromium is the best fit for a computer with limited RAM or hardware resources. It offers almost all the basic functionalities along with the chrome web store. However, there a few glitches that may pose trouble. I found 2 such major glitches: error in logging into the browser because of which, you won't be able to restore your settings and data if you reinstall your system; the second bug is in the browser that poses problems in playing videos. The major problem I am solving is running multiple tabs in a browser in a laptop with poor hardware resources, especially low ram, in Windows 10. I switched to Chromium OS as my laptop used to frequently hang while opening multiple tabs in other browsers like google chrome or the earlier versions of edge.
