The thing I like best is how accurate the tax calculations stay across all the different states and local jurisdictions we deal with. We used to spend a lot of time manually checking rates and keeping an eye on nexus thresholds, but SureTax updates everything automatically and flags issues before they turn into problems. The citations that show why a particular tax was applied have also been useful when questions come up. Overall it just takes a lot of the headache out of staying compliant. The main thing that still annoys me is that pricing isn’t straightforward. You have to talk to them to get a number, and it’s hard to know exactly what you’re paying for until you’re already in the conversation. Setup also took longer than I expected, especially getting everything mapped correctly with our systems. Once it’s running it’s fine, but the initial part was a bit of a pain.
