**What do you like best about Catsy?**

We came to Catsy with a genuinely complex product data challenge: a specification-grade lighting manufacturer with a multi-level product hierarchy, hundreds of attributes split across product families and individual SKUs, and a relational driver-engine compatibility matrix that had been living in spreadsheets for years. Catsy gave us the architecture to model all of it properly.

The platform's ability to enforce which attributes belong at which level of the hierarchy is exactly what governance-from-scratch requires. Most PIMs force you to work around this kind of structure with process and discipline alone; Catsy bakes it into the data model itself.

The Custom Entities capability is a standout: we're migrating a complex compatibility matrix — dozens of drivers, engine constructions, and hundreds of tested combinations — from denormalized Excel sheets into a proper relational model inside Catsy. The ability to define entity tables with their own attribute sets and link them to products is not something most mid-market PIMs offer at all, and it's a genuine differentiator for manufacturers with technically complex catalogs.

Before Catsy, maintaining driver compatibility data meant rebuilding tables by hand for every spec sheet — time-consuming, error-prone, and impossible to scale. Catsy's relational model lets us qualify a combination once and have it reflected automatically across every product that depends on it.

More broadly, Catsy gave us the structure to build a governed, clean PIM from scratch rather than inheriting an organically grown mess. The combination of hierarchy enforcement, attribute ownership rules, completeness scoring, and relational entity modeling is purpose-built for the kind of complex, specification-driven catalog we manage.
