What do you like best about Carbone?

Carbone makes document generation simpler by letting you design templates directly in familiar tools like LibreOffice or MS Word and then populate them with plain JSON data. What do you dislike about Carbone?

The learning curve for the custom XML/JSON syntax can feel a bit steep at first, especially when you’re dealing with complex conditional loops or more advanced formatting. Also, if you choose to self-host the open-source version, you’ll need to maintain your own Node.js server environment and keep the LibreOffice dependencies in place for PDF rendering.
