The software really has everything related to capex and opex. From budgets to creating requests, approval flows, tracking costs, reports. It operates a bit like an app but under the hood it is a big product packed with hundreds of functions. If you know what you want, you will find it there. It is very versatile and easy to configure. Also, they really do add just about any function you need, at no cost. That was a surprise at first because we were used to spending a lot on customizing software. If you have no idea what you need, it can be a little overwhelming at first. The Capexplan team did recommend us to start with only what we needed and then after that start to use (unhide as they call it) other functions. Fair enough. But even that point, coming from a spreadsheet environment, it was a good amount of information to take in. The good thing is that their project managers were very patient with us (maybe too many times), so that helped a lot.
