What do you like best about Canix?

Canix gives us real access to our own data. The REST API and reporting connector let us build our own dashboards for sales, inventory, receivables and yields, refreshed automatically instead of exported by hand.

Seed-to-sale tracking stays in sync with Metrc at every step: plants from clone through flower, harvests, manufacturing runs, lab testing, packaging, transfers and sales orders. Non-cannabis inventory, such as packaging and supplies, is tracked in the same system through Task Management for plants, Manufacturing Runs for processing, and Bills of Material for finished packaging, so every packaging and supply cost carries through to the finished product.

The built-in Marketplace lets our customers order from us directly, inside the same system that holds our inventory and orders. Moving our wholesale ordering off LeafLink and LeafTrade onto Canix saved us a significant amount of money, and we no longer pay for a separate ordering platform or keep it in sync with our inventory.

Their support team, however, might be their biggest strength. Across hundreds of support tickets I've submitted personally over the years, their team has consistently answered quickly, fixed issues fast and corrected our existing records too, rather than leaving us to patch historical data ourselves. What do you dislike about Canix?

Workflow task templates (for plants) cannot be exported at all, so we keep our own copy.

What problems is Canix solving and how is that benefiting you?

Canix runs our whole operation in one system: cultivation across several licences, processing, packaging, distribution and sales, in both of our states. Every step stays compliant with Metrc without our team keying the same work into two places, and cannabis and non-cannabis inventory sit side by side instead of in separate tools.

Because tasks, manufacturing runs and Bills of Material use up supplies as the work happens, packaging and supply costs land on the product automatically. At month end we compare our physical counts against one system instead of rebuilding inventory from several.

The biggest benefit has been visibility. Canix has given us direct access to our data through an MCP server and its REST API, so we can design our own dashboards on top of the reports built into the platform. Leadership sees sales, inventory, receivables, purchasing and yields in views we've built around how we run the business. We refresh them on our own schedule, some as often as every 15 minutes. Decisions get made on current numbers, and the time we used to spend pulling reports now goes into using them.

Moving our wholesale ordering onto the Canix Marketplace also removed the cost of a separate ordering platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
