"Best simple video editing software"

What do you like best about Camtasia?

To my knowlege, its the only tool that allows you to record AND edit in the same program. It's just enough for what I need to make quick help videos. The tools are robust enough that I have options but simple enough to use that I don't get lost. For someone not needing professional level editing software, this is one of the best options out there. What do you dislike about Camtasia?

Camtasia still runs off of a model where you have to pay for new editions every time. This is frustrating because I then have to get approval for it every year as opposed to paying a subscription for unlimited updates. Other than that, I don't have any complaints about the software itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Camtasia solving and how is that benefiting you?

I wanted an easy way to edit videos while still looking professinally done. Camtasia fits the bill. I can edit my videos, but I can record my screen too. You can't say that about most other editing software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
