## Building Engines Reviews
 ### 1. Efficient Platform Enhancing Tenant Communication and Productivity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacqueline D. | Assistant Property Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

I really enjoy the transparency in tenant communication that Building Engines offers. Anyone who uses the platform can communicate with tenants and maintain a historical record of those conversations for future reference, which is especially helpful for billable charges and reoccurring events. Our tenants and staff are able to submit work orders via the app or desktop and track, in real time, completions and updates. That visibility makes follow-up much easier and helps ensure tenant satisfaction stays a priority.

Building Engines has also solved time management issues for us. The ability to create an invoice directly from a work order is a great feature; before the software, all invoicing was done manually in Excel. Now the information is streamlined and organized in a way that substantially reduces human error, and it has increased our tenant service revenue. the Invoices look very professional and can be designed to include any background information relevant to the request. The initial setup was fairly easy, and the support we received was exceptional, which made the process feel seamless overall. I appreciate that there are many service modules to choose from based on your operational needs and it's all for a reasonable cost, considering it includes 24/7 customer support if ever needed. I highly recommend this platform and would give it a nine.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

I don't currently have dislikes for the system. Its working great so far in the early stages.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building Engines improves our time management and keeps us tuned to tenant requests, enabling real-time response and better issue resolution.

 ### 2. Comprehensive Features, Challenging Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raymond S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

I like that Building Engines is complex and can do multiple things. It supports building operations and can perform a variety of tasks related to property management and engineering.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

Setup can be really complex. The initial setup with equipment and how it has to be imported to match up and align with the system setup is tricky, especially with naming conventions being key. There are long processes involved in setting up for tenancy, like assigning tenant orders and work order billing. It feels like a lot of steps just to organize things and send billable tickets. You almost need to be a top tier system administrator to get full functionality out of it. Plus, it wasn't easy to start with, requiring a lot of learning and training courses to get proficient.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Building Engines for creating reports, tracking employee efficiencies, handling work orders and ticketing, and streamlining billing processes.

 ### 3. Streamlined Work Orders, Inspections, and Tenant Compliance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corsina A. | Engineering & Operations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

Raising and tracking work orders, property inspection reports and tenant compliance are all wonderful functions and features that allow daily operations to flow smoothly.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

Glitches with work orders not flowing through to MRI saying GL codes missing when they are not missing. Sharing function is very slow and takes up to 12 hours before sharing a work order print arrives. The fact that the work order raider does not receive a copy of the work order on email is the greatest dislike and very poor functionality of the entire system.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Preventative maintenance tracking and alerts makes planning so much easier.
Tracking tenant compliance matters is a great support and saving so much time searching to find compliance lists.
Really love the dashboard page - great function.

 ### 4. All-in-One Platform for Efficient Property Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rana A. | Retail Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

Building Engines makes managing properties simple & efficient. I love how it centralizes work orders, compliance tracking, and tenant communications—all in one user-friendly platform. Implementation was straightforward, the platform is intuitive, and I use it weekly. Integration across multiple properties is seamless. I also enjoyed the Prism courses on JLLT University, which helped me earn my Prism User Certification.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

I don’t really have any dislikes—Building Engines is very user-friendly. The one time I had an issue with the filter not properly separating users between my two properties, a software update resolved it, and I haven’t encountered any problems since then

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building Engines solves the challenge of managing multiple aspects of property operations in 1 place. It centralizes work orders, compliance tracking, tenant communications, and vendor management, reducing the need for spreadsheets & manual follow-ups. This benefits me by saving time, improving organization, ensuring compliance, and giving real-time visibility into property operations, which allows me to manage multiple properties efficiently and confidently.

 ### 5. Streamlined Feedback Collection with Heat Map Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Umashankar P. | Campus and Mobilization Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

I find Building Engines useful because it has data from the date of inception, which allows me to see things for many years now. The heat map is particularly beneficial since it shows the number of tickets and their flow rate at different times, helping me identify key issues to focus on and prioritize addressing areas with frequent or repeated complaints. The dashboard is also helpful, providing an overview that assists me in my tasks. Additionally, the initial setup was quite easy with one-time data sharing, which I find convenient. The integration with the JLL dashboard also adds to its utility.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

absence of real time notifications in mobile

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Building Engines to collect employee feedback and manage complaints, helping to identify and prioritize key issues.

 ### 6. Prism Streamlines Work Orders, Mobile Updates, and Proactive Maintenance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon B. | Traffic Controller, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

Consolidates requests into one system with clean UX. Integrates with existing building management platforms. Fast performance across properties. Delivers ROI by streamlining operations and reducing response times. Reporting provides data-driven maintenance insights at scale.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

AI/intelligence features could be more advanced for predictive maintenance. Some integrations require manual configuration. Onboarding documentation could include more real-world use cases. Pricing transparency for add-on modules would be helpful.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consolidates work orders across properties into one platform. Clean UI and reliable performance boost technician productivity. Integration with building systems automates workflows. Strong ROI from reduced response times and admin overhead. Improves JLL's service delivery and client satisfaction.

 ### 7. Quick, Scalable, But Setup Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

I find Building Engines quick, easy to use, and scalable. The automated PPMs are really helpful in connecting me with contractors and my FM efficiently and transparently. I appreciate that it provides tenants a good platform to log jobs. The user interface is another aspect I enjoy, as well as the fact that contractors can be notified of things using the portal, and tenants can see them if I allow it. I also like using the scheduled POs for contracts, the comments section, and tenant compliance.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

The audit trail data isn't great, specifically who gets notified and when. Also, I wish there was an option to undo actions within a short window. The initial setup was also done poorly by the team, and it was too much work overall. Centralizing the setup would have been better.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building Engines automates PPMs, efficiently connects me with contractors, and allows tenants to log jobs. It helps with setting up schedules and ensuring work completion before payments.

 ### 8. Centralized Platform with Room for Improved Searches specially in the mobile app

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parra C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

I find Building Engines to be a really good platform, especially as it serves as a centralized go to platform where I can find all of my buildings and review all the work that has been accomplished at each location. I like the feature where I can pull reports and export Excel spreadsheets, which helps me do large data analysis.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

I wish it was better for searching. It opens so many options instead of just focusing on the ones I'm looking for, like work orders for one location. When you do a query, the computer doesn't know to focus on just the things you're looking for, and it takes a really long time for the system to analyze.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building Engines simplifies managing work orders and provides a centralized platform where I can find all my buildings and review the work accomplished, maintains logs, and I can process vendors work Orders. It enhances task management with its reporting feature, allowing me to pull Excel spreadsheets for large reports where I can then analyze.

 ### 9. Efficient for Service Requests, Needs Better Filtering

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Triscia A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

I love the tracking for service requests and the ability to send out tenant memos with Building Engines. These features help with organization and make things run more smoothly. Additionally, the initial setup of Building Engines was pretty easy, which was a nice bonus.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

Our team struggles with finding our property's past memos. The filter feature on the software is not great, our team wishes that all properties that are not ours just does not show at all. Also, adding recipients at the end of the email blast process is a bit confusing.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Building Engines to track service requests, organize work orders, and send tenant memos, improving my team's organization and communication.

 ### 10. Streamlined Workflow Management with User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Syed N.

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Building Engines?**

I really like Building Engines because it's user-friendly and has ease of use. It's kind of like a one-stop shop that makes my life easier, helping with managing and maintaining workflow, and improving visibility and communication with all parties, including tenants and contractors. I also appreciate the live status updates, emails, notifications, and such, which are really good.

**What do you dislike about Building Engines?**

When we create a work order in Prism, it needs to transfer and sync with the JLL internal platform called MRI. Right now, every 24, 48, or 72 hours, it just syncs, but sometimes it doesn't sync successfully. I'd suggest implementing a system where changes sync at the end of the day, regardless of the current time intervals, to avoid constant updates and improve efficiency. Also, a video upload feature would be great for the facilities related issues. The feature is there, however it seems crashing all the times.

**What problems is Building Engines solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Building Engines for raising work orders, maintaining workflows with contractors and tenants. It simplifies my workload, enhances visibility and communication, provides live status updates, and is user-friendly. It's a one-stop shop that really makes my life easier.
