**What do you like best about Branch?**

It's a straightforward platform to use. I spend the most time creating deep links where you can measure campaign goals and ROI. It's for people who are using the web and mobile devices.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

The coding can be a bit confusing for me; however, over time, I'm sure there will be an easier process for specific links on different platforms. For example, Instagram links vs. Twitter links.

**What problems is Branch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The deep linking helps track lots of components to a project.

I've only ever use Appsflyer other than branch (back in 2019) and find branch has more data than was ever available to me in AF.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

Some of the reporting could be easier to use. Segmenting by week (sun-mon, mon-sun) and other pre-set date parameters would be good. Also filters easier to use.

**What problems is Branch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can see in app events for my android Google app campaigns (i am a PPC specialist but manage Google app campaigns).

**What do you like best about Branch?**

It is easy to integrate campaigns on the Branch. You can optimize your campaign through daily stats given by branch. You can also prevent fraud through branch internal fraud tool.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

Though branch has its own internal fraud tool, we are not able to know exact what type of fraud is happening on the campaigns.  I think the branch should specify the fraud reason as well so that we can optimize the campaign accordingly.

**What problems is Branch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The branch is helping in monitoring the mobile campaigns by providing real-time conversion reports. Also the branch had its own internal fraud tool which help us to differentiate between the fraud in the campaign.

as a data scientist it's really helpful to have the attribution data. Thank to that we know where users are coming from.

The setup was a bit complicated, and understanding branch raw tables is kind of tricky (so many fields and only way to understand was to reach out to Branch team)

1. The best part is their cross-platform attribution and clear split between organic and inorganic sources and events.
2. The intuitive and customizable dashboards provide great insights in terms of data, which are a great help in campaign optimization.
3. Their support team is commendable, they troubleshoot all queries in no time and help us stay updated with new feature updates.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

1. I would say that certain improvements can be made for example they must have separate dashboards to monitor reengagement, acquisition and retention campaigns.
2. While integrating ad partners, the attribution windows for certain standard and custom events must be picked automatically from ad partners and should not have to be filled manually.

**Recommendations to others considering Branch:**

Branch offers great visualization of otherwise unstructured data. It can be a great resource for small-scale app companies as it helps us in allocating our resources to the right channels.

**What problems is Branch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Branch to track attribution of organic, Facebook ads, Google ads, Referrals and Affiliates. it provides campaign-level data and helps us in adopting a data-favoured approach while optimising various marketing campaigns and channels. Branch has helped us save a lot of time and effort that otherwise went in fetching and analysing data which was not even accurate.

Branch have changed your billing policy, it used to be free and now we have to pay or create our own solution to change branch. That was something that was not planned :(

Branch looks like it has been designed by hardcore developer, There are some signs of a coder being a core decision maker. Example, No relative dates in Branch. You have to select dates manually, you can't select as yesterday and so on.

Branch is super tool, If used wisely can solve all problems of a marketer. Also, Sometimes people confuse their poor setting of attribution windows or wrong integration with judgement of tool.

* Deferred deeplinks for contextual deeplinking even if user hasn't installed app

I only had one problem when the deeplinks didnt work well. PRoblem was on our side, branch helped but it took a while to solve it overall.

Better conversions, more channels to push apps.
Productivity increased, the tool offers more than what we do with it.

**What do you like best about Branch?**

Branch has solved the app attribution and universal app linking issues for us. Navigation across the dashboard is easy and creating funnels, cohorts and analysing campaigns, marketing channels is very convenient.
Their sales team was kind enough to accomodate all the requirements and asks in the plan without significantly increasing the prices.
After having Branch integration, cross platform attribution has become transparent and this has helped us in campaign and creative optimisations. Using branch links in Facebook's instant experience has helped us improve our conversion rates by almost 12.5%.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

Branch does not offer Cost data in INR and also certain customised calculations of funnel rates and cost per event is not possible on the dashboard. 
Analysing links that are created from backend and not on branch dashboard is not supported even even those are branch links too.

**Recommendations to others considering Branch:**

Branch delivers good value for the price and have a wonderful support team that helps us whenever we need them.

**What problems is Branch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Branch helps us in creating ad links and quick links which are used in the Marketing campaigns, creation and analysis of these links is fairly simple. 
Activity and cohort analysis is something that I use on a daily basis to monitor campaign performance in terms of app opens and other down the user engagements. 
Partner integration and exporting desired in app events to the integrated ad partners is super smooth. Integrating affiliate partners and deciding their access levels help us in ruling out fraud traffic and we end up pay only for genuine traffic.

I value the fact we are able to provide our customers a user-friendly experience. I also like our integrated slack channel for assistance directly from Branch.

It can be difficult getting reroutes and parameters set up on our end before we go to Branch.

We have a gated homepage experience, so we like to use Branch to directly send our customers to the app if they're on mobile, and a browser if they're on desktop.

**What do you like best about Branch?**

Branch's support is extraordinary and they offer custom prices and were also flexible enough to accommodate some of our additional MAU and other engagement numbers at the same price. Creating and editing quick links and ad links in bulk is quick and analysing them is easy as they have a dedicated dashboard for deep links only. Managing ad partners and onboarding new affiliate partners is also convenient.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

There is a huge scope for improvement when it comes to the User Interface. While creating custom dashboards, it does not allow us to put formulas and we have to pick from already available set metrics only.

**Recommendations to others considering Branch:**

Branch can be a great third-party analytics tool as it brings about clarity in thought while taking important action when it comes to improving a campaign's performance. Must-have tool for app-based companies.

**What problems is Branch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Branch helps us with our daily marketing analytics. Its Multi-Platform Attribution helps us in Marketing Campaign Optimization, we are also utilizing the deferred deep-linking feature of Branch to provide a rich user experience in ads and also land them on that particular page when they download the app. This has increased our subsequent app opens after the first one tremendously.

The support team at Branch helps us every step of the way, from providing complete support during tech integration and a dedicated account manager who helps us utilise the tool in the best possible way. Branch majorly helps us in cross-platform attribution and analytics which further helps in campaign and channel optimization.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

It does not let us track uninstalls which is a major miss and hinders campaign optimization to a great extent. The UI can also be improved and the current dashboard is difficult to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Branch:**

Branch helps us with App Marketing, and App Analytics and the quick links can even be used for search and display campaigns, this functionality is not provided by Appsflyer. Also, Branch provides flexible pricing and is much more cost-effective when compared to Appsflyer.

**What problems is Branch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Branch for creating quick links, ad links and deferred deep links in ads for providing an instant experience to users and ensuring they land on the specific content shown in the ads. This reduces user drop off and enhances session time. Apart from links we also use Branch on a daily basis to look at daily campaign performance and see how all the channels, as well as affiliate partners, are faring.

Branch helps me create/wrap links so that they will open up in our app! It's a pretty quick process, and it makes it easy to see attribution/clicks.

The search feature never seems to work because we create so many Branch links on a regular basis, and I think Branch doesn't hold all of them. It would be great if we could have a page that shows all Branch links that you've personally created.

**What do you like best about Branch?**

Branch offers great insights about the source of acquisition of users, retention of different ad platforms, performance of reengagement campaigns and Retention graphs of users on the app. The best part is the customer support of Branch as they provide account managers even for startups with miniscule ad spends. Unlike Appsflyer where there is only one person responsible for giving platform access to team members, on Branch anyone can give access to team members.

Branch lacks certain features and automation which are offered by its competitors like the incrementality feature by Appsflyer and also the impression and click trackers required for Affiliate partners need to be created manually.

We also use Branch deep links in email and SMS campaigns which take users directly to the content within the app and also provide us deeper insights into user engagement and behaviour on the app. We also use Branch for analysing Reengagement campaigns of multiple clients.

We used Branch majorly for its cross-platform attribution functionalities and universal deep linking capabilities. It gave us a fair division of installs that were flowing from various marketing channels like Facebook, Google, and organic. We were also able to use deep linking on Facebook ads and Google campaigns which resulted in an extremely rich experience for users, especially for re-engagement campaigns where we landed users directly on the screen/event we wanted them to nudge for.

There were a lot of features that were lacking in Branch, it did not support deep drilling of data, and no uninstall or cost data was available. While Appsflyer is the market dominator and offered rich features like incrementality, P360 for fraud analysis, exclusive management or retention and reengagement campaigns, creation of audience on the platform and exporting them to ad partners, we switched to Appsflyer.

Before our integration with Branch, there was a lot of ambiguity and concern around the source of installs and we faced critical issues with campaign optimisation. Running in-app event-focused campaigns was also a challenge as we were unable to establish the effectiveness of various marketing channels. Branch also helped us in creating quick links in bulk and our shareable content from the app also had branch links, this helped us track the installs and conversions coming from each source.

Branch is much more reasonable than Appsflyer and hence provides analytics and cross-platform attribution which might not be as accurate and top-notch as Appsflyer but does the job well. Creating deep links and their analysis via reports and customised dashboards is quick and easy with Branch. Click and install Fraud can also be identified and flagged with Branch in the same package while Appsflyer has additional charges for this.

There is some scope for improvement in the dashboard and other features which require a lot of steps for example ad partner integration, giving agency access, deciding their level of access, setting up events and exporting them to ad partners, setting up attribution windows, these are some features which need a lot of manual work which can be automated.

Branch is good to opt if you need good attribution but do not have adequate resources, but must try for smaller enterprises.

We use Branch for some of our clients as their primary MMP. The best part is the ease with which we can create links be it ad links/deep links or one links. Slicing and dicing data based on source, event or campaign is easy and the dashboards provide valuable insights into the performance of various marketing channels.

The User Interface is not as intuitive as Appsflyer and the support team when contacted gives us lengthy documentation which is not very helpful. The integration took us almost 2 months while Branch only gave us one month free trial period.

Branch is definitely an upgrade from manual data pulling and analytics but if you have better financial resources then please go for Analytical tools like Mixpanel or Appsflyer.

Branch has been an integral part of our business for more than two years, and we have nothing other than praise for Branch as a tool and the support we receive directly from Branch. Any question is usually answered within a few hours, and the dedicated support team is always ready to schedule a call and tackle the problem at hand.  The only reason I am not giving 10/10 is due to the (very infrequent) bugs we have encountered now and then, but even those were usually resolved very quickly. I would also like to praise the amount of support we received to deal with the changes required to become ATT compliant end to end.

The tracking interface is a bit clunky and could be restructured to make it easier to derive insights directly. However, for our particular use case, this is not too much of an issue as we use our own BI tool connected to the branch API for insights

The deep linking properties of the branch are better than any other app attribution platform. It is also an excellent tool for fraud detection, thus can save us a lot of money. It helps us to define custom events for user analysis. Through the customizable dashboards, it provides a holistic view of campaigns running across various media sources and their conversion count and funnels.

Branch gives us the flexibility to analyse user cohorts and also provides a unified view of all installs where we can put filters and customise them according to our needs. Deferred deep linking is one amazing feature that has increased our funnel rates by more than 3x. We get dedicated account managers who help us in understanding broader and niche use cases and do account audits every quarter, this has helped un unearth features which we were not utilizing initially.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

When compared to Appsflyer which we were using initially, Branch falls short in a lot of aspects, some of them are: Branch's dashboard is not intuitive, features are very limited, and fraud protection is not very apt. The scope of customization while analyzing data is poor, there are overlapping colours on the dashboard which hinder the visibility.

**Recommendations to others considering Branch:**

Branch can be used for basic attribution and analytics of marketing campaigns. It solves the issue of tracking the installs to their source and hence in the campaign and channel optimisation. I would say this is a must-have tool and offers a great return on investment.

The main pain point that Branch solves is the attribution. Initially, when our Appsflyer subscription duration ended, we were managing campaign performance with in-house analytics but cross-platform attribution and campaign level data, especially from Facebook Business Manager, was passed only to third-party analytics/attribution platforms. Branch enables us to map the installs to their acquisition source and also do an analysis on the quality of users coming through each campaign to the ad level.

Things I really like using branch are:
- Customer support team & our day to day technical support
- Clear and to the point dashboard, which gives me easy access to what I need (not to much fuzz)
- Easy access to cohort views
- Flexible custom exports, you can go as detailed and as broad as you want/need.
- They take action upon your recommendations and look into what they can achieve for you in a foreseenable future (and what maybe unrealisable)

There is not much that I dislike, but things I would appreciate/am missing from time to time:

- API integration for SKAD network installs (we rely on an external dashboard for communication)

Personally for me, I find Branch one of the easier MMP's to use. It does a great job in providing the core tools you need an MMP to do. If you have a lot of owned/shared/earned media then Branch is an extra plus vs others.

Good offer overall in a fierce and competitive industry. Branch offers a good pack to measure and deep link users towards your Mobile Application. 

I'm satisfied with the Deep Link and Journeys product as it's easy to set up Web to App banners based on rules.

The user interface could use some work to improve usability and create better reports to gather insights faster. It's a bit tricky to get familiar with the platform, I would also recommend discovering out-of-the-box insights to speed up analytics efforts. 

On the Journeys product, we have a variety of rules and strategies to follow but I would like to have best practices based on industry average performance to speed up the learning process. Web to App strategies are essential and we could leverage case studies produced by the owner of the platform.

Implementation Team - The Branch team showcased a great deal of partnership experience and knowledge when we expanded Branch's capabilities to new global markets. The team was extremely organized, knowledgeable, friendly, and responsive to our questions along the journey. While getting Branch's baseline functionality was our #1 goal for quick links and deferred deep linking for email, the team also provided insights on future roadmap feature enhancements to bolster the product within our tech ecosystem. 

Client Success Team - Similar to the implementation team, the partnership from an account-level perspective was top-notch. With weekly check-ins and discussions of in-flight initiatives and future ideas, the account management team was excellent. 

Ease of Integration with 3rd Party Vendors - Given out tech stack has several additional tools in play for analytics, CRM, and others - Branch seemed to have strong experience with this and made the additional integration seamless.

Deferred Deeplinking - With an important goal of getting our subscribers to download our viewing experience, this key functionality of directing users to get the app from stores or getting straight to the content was key for our user experience.

**What do you like best about Branch?**

- Ease of setting up, especially w their React Native SDKs

From my experience with linking/tracking products, Branch has had the most straightforward setup approach and reduces developer load. The SDKs pretty much do what they state easily without requiring manual tinkering for edge cases.

Another plus point is their support. I've had multiple conversations around tools and issues, which are quickly resolved. In situations where their SDK has issues, they're proactive in providing workarounds and solutions as well.

**What do you dislike about Branch?**

Their documentation is a bit lacking. Setting up Quick Links and Long Links was quite a hassle for React Native as many of the attributes weren't documented well. I had to resort to a 3rd party GitHub repo to find documentation on all the possible attributes.
The inability to create multiple quick links with the same name with different payloads can lead to tricky problems. This might be an innate limitation of Quick/Long links, but is definitely a feature that is useful.

**What problems is Branch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Branch primarily for referral and growth features.
Their payload delivery systems are top-notch, which makes it a no-brainer when it comes to setting up any user linking-based feature such as referrals.
